Student answer (Band 5.5)

Moving forward all cars, buses and even trucks are going to be driver less. Only the individuals will set in as a passenger.

This has become a heated topic in this contemporary society. The advantages and disadvantages of this will be discussed in this essay. In conclusion i will place my opinion.

To begin with, in future electric cars are going to be common. Most of our public transportation will be driver less. There are many benefits of having electric cars individuals would be able to travel without paying their precious amount of money to drivers. We can travel whenever and wherever we want driver usually need rest sometimes they are not available at the moment. They are needed the most.

Perhaps there are many pros but on the other hand, in the past year best driver less car was sold by Tesla vast amount of money was spend on it. Just because of a minor inconvenience in the system it was stopped in the middle of road. Which caused an accident and a women lost his life in it in addition Tesla was not responsible in this. According to Tesla it was clearly stated that they are not going to be responsible for any system error. This proves that we can not trust our lives on a machine so an electric driver less car is not reliable.

In my perspective rather than risking our lives. We should use manual cars .A machine cannot work as perfect as a human does.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention cost-saving and convenience as benefits, the explanation is brief and lacks depth. The counter-argument regarding safety is relevant, but the essay lacks a clear, sustained position throughout. The conclusion is abrupt and does not fully synthesise the arguments presented. To improve, ensure each body paragraph provides a clear topic sentence followed by detailed supporting evidence or examples to fully develop your perspective.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression between ideas is sometimes disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is basic and occasionally mechanical, such as 'To begin with' and 'In conclusion'. Some sentences are short and choppy, which disrupts the flow of the argument. Referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, the transition between the benefits of electric cars and the specific Tesla example is abrupt. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would significantly improve the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple phrasing, such as 'precious amount of money' and 'minor inconvenience'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'set in as a passenger' instead of 'sit as passengers' and 'a women lost his life' (gender agreement error). To reach a higher band, focus on using more academic collocations and precise terminology related to technology and transportation, while ensuring accurate word forms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('driver usually need rest'), tense inconsistencies, and punctuation errors, such as missing commas and incorrect sentence boundaries. For instance, 'Which caused an accident and a women lost his life in it in addition Tesla was not responsible in this' is a run-on sentence that lacks proper punctuation. Increasing your control over complex sentence structures and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will help improve your score.
