Student answer (Band 6.0)
In future times, it is expected that the drivers of all vehicles including cars, buses and trucks are replaced with machines, This advancement will eradicate the need of drivers and only people riding these vehicles will be passengers. In my opinion this technology of driveless vehicles have so many advantages which outweigh its disadvantages. It is because driveless vehicles will add another seat for passengers to go from one place to another. Also, it will reduce the road conflicts among drivers and traffic congestions. Plus, it bringd jobs for the drivers to monitor these vehicles.
Firstly, driveless vehicles will increase space for more passengers to fit in. The seat which is currently used by drivers will be replaced and converted into a passenger seat. This smooth experience wil benefit many people. Front seat offers wider view of the buildings and sides of the roads. People sitting on the driver seat will enjoy the journey. May be in the future, driver seat will be considered as a special seat and traveling agents will be charging extra for it.
Secondly, in present times, it is very common to see on the roads that drivers are fighting with each other on a small misunderstanding. It happens with cars parked on the middle of the road which results in traffic congestions. Moreover, they try to compete with each other for no reason. They start a race and eventully over-speeding, which could be fatal. For example, in Pakistan many university buses' drivers are competing with each other in order to get the desirable spot in the parking area of the university. Sometimes, it puts risk to the life of many individuals; people who are walking on the sides of the roads, other vehicles' drivers and passengers which are on the same road, drivers and the passenger of those buses. Quirrels among drivers can be avoided by making these buses driveless.
Furthermore, it is confirmed that without human intervention, any machine can not work smoothly. Human resource will be required to monitor these vehicles. It is a common belief that these advancement can replace humans and take their jobs. However, it is not actually true. In this case, particulary, drivers will be asked to join the monitoring team of these vehicles. As computer-based jobs are considered more reliable and comfortable job than driving. So, people will welcome this technology more than opressing it.
In conclusion, if in the future all cars, buses and trucks, drivers are replaced by artificial intelligent machines then it will not only bring other job opportunities for drivers but also it add one more seat for travellers. It will reduce the risk of fatal accidents which happens because of the unethical behavior of drivers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, clearly stating a position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The ideas are relevant, such as increased passenger space and improved road safety. However, some arguments are slightly under-developed or rely on questionable logic, such as the claim that driver seats will become premium 'traveling agent' commodities. The discussion on job displacement is a bit repetitive and could have been more nuanced. Overall, the position is consistent, and the main points are supported with examples, meeting the requirements for a Band 6.5 or 7.0. Given the clarity of the stance, it leans towards a 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Furthermore', though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. The progression of ideas is generally clear, although the connection between the 'driver seat' argument and the overall safety benefits could be smoother. Referencing is mostly clear, but there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing. The paragraphing is sufficient and appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'eradicate', 'intervention', and 'unethical behavior'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'road conflicts' instead of 'road rage' or 'traffic disputes', and 'opressing' instead of 'opposing'. Spelling errors like 'driveless' (repeatedly) and 'eventully' also detract from the overall quality. The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but lacks the precision required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'this technology... have', 'it bringd', 'any machine can not work') and punctuation errors (e.g., the comma splice in the first paragraph). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'Sometimes, it puts risk to the life of many individuals'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score.
