Student answer (Band 5.5)
Technology has improved a lot in past few years and it is still improving by making new innovation and in future there is a high chance of driverless vehicles. There are various opinions among the people in terms of driverless vehicles and some thinks it can have more advantages and other thinks the opposite. From my perspective advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages due to many factors that will discuss in the next paragraph.
This paragraph will provide the fact and argument for the advantage outweigh disadvantages. Firstly, driverless vehicles such as cars helps people to save time as they do not have to drive and they can use that time in some productive manner such as reading, taking a short nap or preparing for exams etc. For example, if person wants to go to the distant place for either examination or meeting he might get exhausted by driving which led to the poor performance in the work if there is facility of driverless car it helps them to get relaxed and get more time to prepare for the meeting or exam.
Furthermore, it can also be beneficial for the physical disables person as they are not able to drive the vehicles but they needed to travel at many places through themselves due to different reason in that driverless car can be beneficial. Moreover, Bus and trucks also have numerous benefits if it is driverless because many accident that happens are due to negligence and poor sleep of the driver and if it became driverless than there are higher chances of not getting accident as there will be ai sensor which helps to prevent the accident.
Conversely, those people who works as a driver end up losing their way of daily earning . Although there are numerous benefits of driverless vehicles but there can still be trust issue among the people because what happen if machine stops working and lose its control.
To conclude, driverless vehicles may have some disadvantages but it cannot outshine the advantages and need of ai vehicles as it provides numerous benefits for the people travelling inside these vehicles.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by presenting a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. You provided relevant arguments, such as increased productivity for passengers, accessibility for the disabled, and improved safety through AI sensors. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the counter-argument regarding job losses for drivers is mentioned but not fully explored or refuted, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation and a concrete example to support your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'Conversely' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed, such as in the final paragraph. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, for example, 'in that driverless car can be beneficial' lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'productive manner', 'negligence', and 'outshine'. However, there are several instances of awkward phrasing and word choice errors, such as 'physical disables person' (should be 'physically disabled people') and 'in terms of driverless vehicles' (which is slightly misused here). There is also some repetition of basic vocabulary. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding grammatical errors in word forms, such as using adjectives instead of nouns.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('some thinks', 'people who works'), missing articles ('if person wants'), and awkward sentence construction ('if it became driverless than there are higher chances'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
