Student answer (Band 5.5)

Some people believe that all cars, buses and other vehicles will be driverless in the future. While others believe that it would be dangerous for the human lives.

There are multiple benefits associated with having driverless cars. These cars help us to avoid accident; there is no need of human's action to drive and control the car, also follow the rules and regulation strictly to lower come the risk of online challan.

Firstly, automatic vehicles there are no chances left for any accidents, because due to the involvement advanced sensor technologies to make sure that if any obstacles came the sensor immediately make decision whether to stops the car and change the path.

Secondly there is no involvement of human's action required due to the advanced automatic vehicle's there is multiplies benefits like not shifted the gear, looking into side and back cameras and focusing on the front of car while using these types of vehicles there are no needed such type of activities.

Thirdly, these types of vehicles are design to a latest AI algorithm which are fully functionally work on pre-defined algorithm. For Example, if we do not wear seat belt, it's also reminded us by beeping sound and also engine cannot work properly until we wear seat belt and required other requirements.

Thus, driverless cars also have disadvantages like failure of system, may be sensor not sensing the upcoming obstacles properly lead to a very serious vehicles collapse. But the advanced technologies work for the betterments in AI to lower risk for the humans' lives

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages of driverless vehicles, but the treatment of the disadvantages is very brief and lacks depth. While you take a position, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and relies on general assertions rather than well-supported arguments. For instance, the points about 'not shifting gears' or 'looking into cameras' are minor technical details rather than significant societal advantages. To improve, ensure that both sides of the argument are explored with equal weight and provide more substantial examples or logical reasoning to support your claims. The conclusion is also quite abrupt and does not fully summarize your position on whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Thirdly' to organize ideas, which provides a clear structure. However, the flow between sentences is often mechanical, and some transitions are awkward, such as 'lower come the risk of online challan'. Paragraphing is present, but the paragraphs are somewhat disjointed. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the overall thesis.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is often repetitive and lacks precision. You frequently use phrases like 'human's action' and 'advanced automatic vehicle's', which are not natural collocations. There are also some errors in word choice, such as 'online challan' (which is informal/regional) and 'betterments'. While you attempt to use some technical terms like 'AI algorithm' and 'sensor technologies', the overall range is limited. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to technology and transportation, and focus on using words in their correct context to avoid awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'sensor immediately make decision'), incorrect pluralization, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'there is no needed such type of activities'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of apostrophes and commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically regarding verb tenses and sentence structure, to ensure your ideas are expressed more clearly.
