Student answer (Band 5.5)

In this cutting edg technology it is possible to have driveless vechiles. However some people believe that it is not right way we can not trust technology in driving. There have been consirable debate on this issue weather it is right or wrong.

A fraction of people believe that there is a big advantage of having driveless vechiles in future. Everone can travel in Buses car by paying less whereas people who don't know how to drive can also travell by their own car and have their persnoal space while traveling. If the truck will be driverless then the company will do not have to worry about drivers and they can save their cost of driver and earn more profit in their bussines.

However it is believed that we can not trust technology in terms of driving because technology can not scan the road and small animals properly. if all the vechiles have this type of technology the people working in this filld will be jobless and it is not right way to search someones jobs. whereas if this types of vichles will be introduce the vichels will be too expensive and not everybody can afford that type of vichiels. Howevry some people like driving very much and they spend very high amount on their car to enjoy it then the comparise making these car will go in loss.

Different people have different notion regarding the statement but i have sound reasons to advocate that it is good to have driverless vechills but yet challanges it poses should not be overlooked.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the point about companies saving costs is mentioned but not fully explored in terms of broader economic impact. The position is clear, but the arguments lack depth and specific examples. The conclusion is brief and does not effectively synthesise the main points. To improve, you should aim to expand on your arguments with more detailed explanations and concrete examples, ensuring that each paragraph focuses on a single, well-developed idea.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For instance, the transition 'whereas if this types of vichles will be introduce' is awkward and disrupts the flow. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the logical progression between sentences is occasionally disjointed. While there is an overall attempt at a logical structure, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of some transitions limit the coherence of the response. Improving the variety and accuracy of your cohesive devices will significantly enhance the readability of your work.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to convey complex ideas. There are frequent spelling errors such as 'vechiles', 'persnoal', 'bussines', and 'vichiels', which occasionally impede communication. The range of vocabulary is basic, and there is little attempt to use less common or more precise lexical items. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific vocabulary related to technology and transportation, and pay closer attention to the correct spelling of common words. Using a wider range of synonyms would also help to avoid the repetitive phrasing seen throughout the essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the company will do not have to worry'), incorrect verb tenses, and awkward sentence construction (e.g., 'it is not right way we can not trust'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and sentence structure prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic grammatical slips will be essential for improvement.
