Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the 21st century, many technologies invent by the scientists. Some invention is suitable for humanity and some is not. So case is applied on the driverless of the cars, buses and trucks. In my point of view, driverless vehicles is more disadvantages as compared to advantages.

First disadvantages, driverless vehicles depend on technology. Technology does not give surety to work every time. In some time, technology does not work and become the cause of big accident. Similarly, driverless vehicles cause of poverty. People become jobless and do not ends meat. Furthermore, driverless vehicle create dependency on technology rather than humanity in the mind of the people. The communication and culture patterns are not possible in driverless vehicles. People wants to live in technology rather than humanity.

There are some advantages of driverless vehicles as compared to disadvantages. First of all, driverless vehicles do the work smoothly without any feel of exestuation. They fellow the same route and omit the principle of forgotten. In addition, driverless vehicles decrease the expenses as like driver cost and some other elements. At present, people used latest technology and dependency on humanity is erased.

In short, driverless vehicles are more disadvantages as compared to disadvantages. People become very lazy and do not work hard. Systematically, this is not suitable for human health and daily routine of life. In my point of view, latest technology must be used but limited time and pace. This type of action becomes fruitful for the whole world and humanity.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, but the development of ideas is limited. While you state your position clearly, the arguments are brief and lack sufficient supporting evidence or examples. For instance, the point about 'poverty' and 'jobless' people is mentioned but not explained in the context of the transport industry. To improve, you should expand on your points with specific examples or logical consequences. The conclusion is slightly confusing as it repeats the phrase 'more disadvantages as compared to disadvantages', which contradicts your earlier points. Ensure your arguments are fully extended to meet the requirements for a higher band.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'So case is applied on' and 'Systematically, this is not suitable' do not function well as transitions. The logical progression between sentences is sometimes hindered by grammatical errors, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'nevertheless') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that connects logically to the next.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and non-standard collocations, such as 'do not ends meat' (likely meaning 'cannot make ends meet') and 'omit the principle of forgotten'. These errors occasionally impede communication. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to use more precise or academic terminology. To reach a higher band, you should work on learning collocations and using more sophisticated vocabulary related to technology and societal impact, while ensuring you use these words in the correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many technologies invent by the scientists'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple or contain fragments, and there is a lack of complex structures. The frequent errors in basic grammar, such as 'driverless vehicles is more disadvantages', indicate a need for a stronger grasp of fundamental English grammar. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors like tense consistency and pluralisation will significantly improve your score.
