Student answer (Band 6.0)

Over past two decades technology is transforming and hyping so much that, nowadays engineers and scientist are making the vehicles which are driven automatically and it is not uncommon that cars, buses and in fact trucks are also driven with the help of automations and driverless. In my perception the benefits surpass the drawbacks. My inclination will be justified in upcoming paragraphs with the help of valid reasons and appropriate examples.

The foremost reward is that, there is no need of driver which means no one has to drive any type road vehicles just have to specify the artificial intelligence(AI) of the vehicle all the traffic rules and location where the individuals have to reach. Moreover this also benefits to the peoples who don't know who to drive car or any other vehicle. For example if there is any kind of emergency like hospital emergency and the person with the sick ones don't know how to drive the car and have to go hospital in urgent so he/she can easily specify the location and other required knowledge which will help him/her to reach hospital.

Another plus is that AI helps individuals to go somewhere in shortest time and easiest route by which the peoples do not get late for there destiny. For instance the person wants to go somewhere in short notice and he/she might not know the route to get there so he/she just have to search that specific place or location and specify regulations to the AI and it will help him/her to reach there short time.

However, the minor drawbacks can not be disregarded, it might get risky at some point where AI stops working in the middle of the route or get damaged and individuals who have occupied the vehicle there life gets in risk and permanently relying on the automation and AI is not proven best.

To sum up, there are many advantages and some minor disadvantages which can not be overlooked as it about the individuals life whi

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument regarding 'emergency situations' is a good point, but the explanation is slightly simplistic. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which affects the overall task completion. To improve, you should ensure that each paragraph provides a more nuanced analysis and that the essay is fully completed within the time limit.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'For instance', and 'However' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Additionally, the abrupt ending of the essay significantly disrupts the coherence of the final section. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring a complete, well-structured conclusion would help elevate your score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You attempt to use some topic-specific terminology like 'artificial intelligence' and 'automations'. However, there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'hyping so much' and 'destiny' (when you likely meant 'destination'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and there is a reliance on basic descriptors. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and a wider range of academic vocabulary to convey your arguments with greater sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'benefits to the peoples who don't know who to drive' (should be 'how to drive') and 'there life gets in risk' (should be 'their lives are at risk'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and spacing after periods. These errors occur throughout the text. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct pronoun usage, and proofreading for basic sentence construction errors.
