Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is predicted that autonomous vehicle will replace human driving cars, buses and trucks in coming years. People will travelling inside those vehicle's as a passenger.

There is no doubt that it takes highly risk on the other hand it's also a benefits while the person who's problem with back pain, having a sleepy eyes and other health issue people will take sleep over the car.

On the first hand the merits are more than demerits, because its overall process to driving a car on the software. Firstly the level of accidents are decrease because cannot tired of driving cars. People who doing a job can do work in their cars without any type of burden to drive a car. In a family old member who can't drive car many benefits are open for them. The level of traffic is also decrease because companies who build these automatic cars is setting a feature of understanding traffic rules, board signs and other formalities. In upcoming time many people bought automatic cars. If it have the advantages of having a automatic their is a few disadvantages of having a automatic car.

On the other hand if we see the disadvantages of the automatic car. This car depend on a computer system and take a highly risk on road because sometimes a something error in system and car can't balance and stuck with tree or something else. secondly those person become jobless whose passion and job is driving. Truck drivers, bus drivers and taxi drivers became jobless and their source of income is no more. In now days AI is more advanced and they set up AI system in cars, due to heavy rain sometimes software of car is not working in water and road is also desolate and no one can help at that time men can only have a regret of buying automatic car.

The conclusion is that merits are more than demerits people can buy automatic car with many type of facilities. In my opinion there is no regret in future after buying this car.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles. However, the development of ideas is often superficial and lacks depth. For instance, the mention of 'back pain' or 'sleepy eyes' as a primary benefit is somewhat tangential to the broader societal implications of autonomous transport. While a position is stated, the arguments are frequently repetitive and lack clear supporting evidence or logical progression. The conclusion is brief and does not effectively synthesize the points made. To improve, you should focus on developing fewer, more substantial arguments with clear examples, such as the impact on urban planning or road safety statistics.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. Phrases like 'On the first hand' and 'In now days' are used incorrectly, which disrupts the reader's ability to follow the argument. Referencing is often unclear; for example, the use of 'this car' or 'automatic' lacks a clear antecedent in several instances. While there is an attempt to use cohesive devices, they are often misused or applied in a way that makes the text feel disjointed. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'automatic car' or 'jobless'. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'takes highly risk' instead of 'poses a high risk' and 'cannot tired of driving' instead of 'do not get tired'. Some attempts at more complex vocabulary are unsuccessful, leading to unnatural phrasing. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and transportation, and work on using more precise terminology to express your ideas clearly rather than relying on generic descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('level of accidents are decrease'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or run-on, making the text difficult to parse. While there is an attempt to use complex structures, these are almost always marked by errors, such as 'those person become jobless whose passion and job is driving'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring subject-verb consistency before attempting more complex grammatical forms. Proofreading for common errors like pluralization and verb tense would also be beneficial.
