Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages and clearly states a position. However, the development of ideas is limited. For instance, the point about 'free time' is mentioned but not sufficiently explained or supported with a concrete example. The argument regarding accidents is supported by a statistic, but the explanation is somewhat repetitive. To reach a higher band, you need to expand on your points with more depth and provide more detailed reasoning rather than listing ideas briefly. The conclusion is also quite abrupt and does not fully summarize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'To explain it that' and 'To justify it that' are unnatural and do not effectively link ideas. Additionally, the transition between sentences is sometimes abrupt, making the flow feel disjointed. While there is a logical progression from introduction to body paragraphs to conclusion, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive nature of the transitions limit the coherence of the essay.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You use words like 'notion' and 'things' frequently, which limits the range. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'porns' instead of 'pros' and 'coming years' used in a way that lacks precision. The range of vocabulary is sufficient to convey the basic meaning, but it lacks the flexibility and precision required for higher bands. You should focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and transportation to improve your lexical range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'vehicles has become') and incorrect sentence structure (e.g., 'in case self driven cars are traveled'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with irregular spacing and missing commas. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, which can occasionally impede the reader's understanding. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical forms.
