Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, but the development of ideas is limited. The essay fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the depth of the argument. While a position is stated, the supporting points—such as the claim about 23% of individuals getting lost—lack clarity and logical grounding. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To improve, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To commence with, bright side of the notion'. Some transitions feel forced or unnatural, and the logical progression between sentences is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors. Referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the flow of ideas. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words more naturally and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified topic sentence that connects logically to the overall argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive, often relying on simple phrasing like 'bright side' and 'dark side'. There are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'auto-control' instead of 'autonomous' or 'driverless', and 'misunderstood should be', which is unclear. The range of vocabulary is limited, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas with precision. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to technology and transportation, and work on using words in their correct grammatical context to avoid awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'technological advancement make'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'who travelling', 'can took nap'), and missing articles or prepositions. The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences, and those that are attempted often contain errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles will also help improve your accuracy.
