Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 205 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, which remain superficial. While you clearly state your position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, the arguments provided—such as job loss and time efficiency—are under-developed and lack specific examples or depth. To improve, you must expand your supporting points with detailed explanations and real-world examples to fully address the prompt. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively synthesize the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Despite the above concern' is used, but the connection between paragraphs is weak. There are also issues with punctuation, such as spaces before commas (e.g., 'However ,this'), which disrupts the flow. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear central topic sentence that logically follows the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and repetitive. You rely on basic terms like 'good' or 'strong' and struggle with word choice, such as 'consubable' (likely meant 'consumable' or 'time-consuming') and 'accident programs' (which is unclear). There are also several spelling errors, such as 'consioucs', 'conculsion', and 'vechicles'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise academic vocabulary and ensure correct spelling. Expanding your range of collocations will also help convey your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('all means of transportation fully depends') and incorrect verb forms ('will be handle', 'will be go down'). The sentence structures are relatively simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors, such as 'if those people would get job for replace it'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and prepositions, before attempting more complex structures. Proofreading for basic errors like missing articles and pluralization is essential.
