Student answer (Band 6.0)

Technology is leveling up day-by-day. Any kind of new invention by scientist is to make the life more easier for people. It is also predicted that in future the all kind of road vehicles will be driverless. The passengers are the only people who will be inside the vehicles. From my perspective, this view of future have more positive side then negative side. This essay will further talk about both the views and I will conclude with my logical opinion.

I think that if country's people have lack of traffic sense and they do not no how to drive then this kind of technology will not appropriate for them because due to less traffic knowledge the chances of traffic crash and road collision . Another weak point is if there will be some changes made in the technology and the auto driving system will not digest the functions properly there will be bad results which are not acceptable by the public at all.

However, on the other side, if this kind of technology get developed in the future then in developed nations all kind of road transportation will be convert into this system so people can easily cope up with it and vehicles will be time punctual so there will be no delays in the day to day life whether you have to reach to your work or you have a flight to take each and every think will be on time.

To conclude, despite there are few disadvantage of this improvement but I would like to say that if there will be this type of advance technologies in the future it will be beneficial to the people as well as to the government so they can manage the nation properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, though the development is somewhat superficial. You clearly state your position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. However, the arguments provided—such as the 'lack of traffic sense' or 'technology not digesting functions'—are underdeveloped and lack specific examples or logical depth. To improve, you should expand on your points with concrete scenarios or data. For instance, instead of mentioning 'bad results,' explain the specific safety or economic implications of system failures. The conclusion is present but brief, and the overall response would benefit from more detailed exploration of the societal impacts of driverless vehicles.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices like 'However' and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are awkward, such as 'if this kind of technology get developed'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, and the logical progression within paragraphs could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that links back to your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on somewhat simplistic phrasing, such as 'leveling up,' 'bad results,' and 'not appropriate.' There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'the all kind of road vehicles' and 'vehicles will be time punctual.' To improve, try to incorporate more academic and topic-specific vocabulary related to technology and transportation. Avoid informal expressions and focus on using words that convey your meaning with greater accuracy and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'this view of future have'), missing articles, and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'if this kind of technology get developed'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly in the second paragraph where a sentence ends abruptly. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically checking for subject-verb agreement and correct article usage.
