Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, fulfilling the prompt's requirements. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits like time management and safety, and drawbacks like technical failure and job loss, these points are presented in a list-like fashion rather than being fully explored with depth. The introduction is slightly repetitive and lacks a clear, sophisticated thesis statement. To reach a higher band, ensure that each main point is supported by a more detailed explanation or a more specific, real-world example to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Moving further ahead', and 'In conclusion'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as the awkward phrasing in the introduction ('my viewpoint will discussed ensuing paragraph'). Additionally, the transition between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally choppy. Improving the flow by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your main ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'automatic vehicles', 'technical failures', and 'employment opportunities'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'call types vehicles' instead of 'all types of vehicles' and 'case accidents' instead of 'cause accidents'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and synonyms to avoid repeating the same words throughout the essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include incorrect verb forms ('will discussed'), missing articles ('a automatic car'), and punctuation errors, particularly with the placement of commas and spaces before punctuation. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to impact the overall fluency. You should focus on subject-verb agreement, consistent tense usage, and standardising your punctuation to improve the accuracy of your writing.
