Student answer (Band 5.0)

In future all of the vehicles like cars buses and trucks will be driverless.

In my opinion, driverless vehicles has many advantage but its has some disadvantage.

Firstly, The driverless car has many advantage. Driverless car is helpful for those people who do not like to drive in night and not also drive in long tour the driverless car is helpful for him. I think the driverless buses and trucks have many advantage and the helpful for people. Because the buses is travel 24 hours people travel all the time in the buses. When the driver is drive all the time and the driver get tired and the cause the accident. The driverless trucks is most of these helpful for company. Because almost the trucks travel in the night. In night when when they are in sleepy mood and they cause of accident. The driverless trucks is the machine. machine work proper and follow the traffic rules in the road. And i this is the most decipeline on the road

There are the some disadvantage of driverless vehicles. Some people have learn driver skills in life and the earn with their skills. Some people drive car to earn money. And the some drive buses and trucks.

When the driverless vehicles is use in future most people face many problem. They do not have any skills. And somehow i think machine is not all perfect. in the last i might be think that driverless car is not helpful for those people who have not any skill to earn money to spend life properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is limited. While you mention safety benefits and the economic impact on drivers, the arguments are repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the point about 'sleepy' drivers is mentioned twice in the same paragraph. To improve, you should provide more specific examples or elaborate on the societal implications of driverless technology. The position is clear, but the overall development is quite basic, which limits the score to a Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is very limited and often repetitive (e.g., 'the driverless car is helpful'). There is a lack of logical progression between sentences, and some transitions are missing or awkward, such as 'in the last i might be think'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making the flow of ideas feel mechanical rather than natural. To reach a higher band, you should use a wider variety of linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'on the other hand' to connect your ideas more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, relying heavily on simple words like 'helpful', 'good', and 'problem'. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'decipeline' (likely meaning discipline) and 'sleepy mood'. You also struggle with pluralisation and article usage, such as 'the buses is travel'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas clearly. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and transportation, and ensure you use the correct word forms (e.g., 'accidents' instead of 'the cause the accident').

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('the buses is travel', 'machine work proper') and article usage. The sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often marred by errors. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing capital letters and incorrect sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors causes some difficulty for the reader. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of auxiliary verbs.
