Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is often predicted that all the cars, buses and trucks will be driverless in the upcoming time. Meaning that people inside these vehicles will only the passengers. Although this development could have disadvantages, I believe that its advantages would outweigh its drawbacks.
One major advantage of driverless vehicles they will improve road safety. Generally, accidents have happened due to human error, distraction, failure, and some unwanted drinks they have taken while driving. So, if they developed this system there will be some advance technology should be used for instance, sensors, monitoring system which is controlled through coding and there is less chance of failure and makes driving safer. Moreover, automated vehicles are manufactured through which anyone should not require any driver to travel anywhere and to transport sometime. However, it requires so much attention during manufacturing. There are several safety benefits of driverless vehicle.
On the other hand, driverless vehicle has some disadvantages. The most important disadvantage is many people can lose their jobs, furthermore, millions of people including, taxi driver, bus driver, trucks travelers, etc. are lose their livehood if the vehicles are become automated. In addition, there many other cause that systems can hack, chances of failure of sensors while manufacturing, this cause affects risk of privacy and safety of the humans.
In conclusion, driverless vehicles may lead to unemployment and technological risk, but transportation more become more convenient is considerably more important. Therefore, advantages of driverless vehicle outweigh their disadvantages, government should have to establish some strict safety standard rules and regulations before this technology becomes widespread.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, maintaining a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For example, the argument regarding safety is repetitive, and the point about job losses is mentioned without exploring the broader economic implications. The conclusion is clear, but the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points by explaining the 'why' and 'how' more thoroughly, rather than simply listing potential benefits and drawbacks. The response covers all parts of the prompt, but the ideas are not fully extended.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'On the other hand', and 'In addition' to link ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel forced. For instance, the sentence 'Moreover, automated vehicles are manufactured through which anyone should not require any driver...' is confusing and disrupts the logical progression of the paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', or 'some', and there are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'unwanted drinks they have taken' instead of 'driving under the influence'. Additionally, there are errors in word formation and collocation, such as 'lose their livehood' instead of 'livelihood' and 'transport sometime' which is unclear. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to technology and transportation and ensure you use words in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('vehicles are become automated'), incorrect preposition usage, and awkward sentence construction ('if they developed this system there will be some advance technology should be used'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage in lists. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency.
