Student answer (Band 5.5)
In present world, technology is spread into every corner of world, and in the future, by doing more progress into that, vehicles will not require any drivers, and only passengers will travel. In my view, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and this essay will shed light on the aspecting factors.
The greatest edge of this situation is that improvement in quality of life. It definitely improve individuals standard and also make it convenient. One example that illustrates this is office workers do their work in their cars, because by doing this they probably save their time and are able to do extra things. Hence, they contribute more productive work and balance their work life schedule.
One more plus point is that people feel relaxed during long journey. If driverless car invent in future, individuals do not need to drive. Due to drive more, They have some significant issues like pain in neck and wrist. So it is beneficial for their physical well-being. Another advantage worth mentioning is that by using features of automatic cars, travelers should change speed according to their comfortness. Also, feel relaxed during the whole trip.
Despite these positive points, there are also few drawbacks. The most alarming factor is reduced employment. In cases where sectors are just dependent on that maybe closed. As a result, the fire employs. Like License, immigration companies and driving schools, and which is also impact on economical growth of the country. A further issue is that there might be some chances of accident. Even when humans are driving, there has uncountable number of that. So machine can surely do that when it's finding some wrong map or misleading information about direction.
Taking everything into account, advantages are more beneficial compared to disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, while clearly stating a personal position that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. The ideas presented are generally relevant, such as increased productivity and reduced physical strain on commuters, balanced against job losses and accident risks. However, some of these arguments are somewhat under-developed and lack specific, well-elaborated examples. For instance, the mention of sectors closing down or the specific impacts on driving schools is a bit vague and abrupt. To reach a higher band, the student should expand further on their main points with more precise real-world examples. Overall, the task is addressed adequately, fitting the criteria for Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, and body paragraphs that separately tackle advantages and drawbacks. Logical sequencing is present, though transitions and cohesive devices can feel somewhat mechanical or repetitive (e.g., using 'One more plus point is' and 'Another advantage worth mentioning is'). Paragraphing is utilised, although the grouping of ideas within paragraphs could be tighter. Referencing is mostly clear, but occasional clunky transitional phrases hinder the natural flow of ideas. These features reflect the characteristics of Band 6.0, where cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words and phrases such as 'productive work', 'physical well-being', and 'reduced employment'. However, there are noticeable inaccuracies in word choice, collocation, and word forms, such as 'aspecting factors', 'comfortness', 'fire employs' (instead of fire employees or layoffs), and 'economical growth' (instead of economic growth). Spelling is generally acceptable, but lexical errors and awkward phrasings occasionally cause strain or require the reader to guess the intended meaning. This performance is consistent with the Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptor range, leaning towards a Band 6.0 for adequacy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over sentence structure with clauses linked by relative pronouns and conjunctions. However, there is a persistent presence of grammatical errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'In present world', 'vehicles will not require any drivers', and 'Due to drive more, They have some significant issues'. Punctuation and article usage are also flawed in places. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent the essay from achieving a Band 7.0. Therefore, a Band 6.0 is appropriate as the errors rarely stop the message from getting across.
