Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the future all vehicle will be driverless. The citizen who travelled inside the vehicle are passengers. In my opinion, disadvantage outweigh the advantages. However, there are also few benefits of driveless motor vehicle.

There are certain disadvantage of driveless automobile.Firstly, the major drawback for this it reduce jobs oportunity for citizen and all over the world.Nowadays, jobs follow downward trends. If we prefer driverless automobile then there will be more competition about jobs in the future.Second, we cannot relay on technology because there are thousand of peoples who travelled everyday theough public transport For example, In the past few days i saw a video where a person gave all control to AI and it is controlling the car. After few minute, the car hit another car very badly.

If we discuss about various advantages, then we can conclude that driverless transport must be smooth and slow. However, some people drive very roughly and may cause any accident.

For example, In the region like pakistan and india people drive very badly.I also travelled through public transport to my university. Some person drive very fast and they may cause road accident. While when we talk about driverless mode of transportation they travel safe and slow while if there is any technical issue occur in the automobile it may cause hours of repair work and people time has lost.

In conclusion, i dont prefer driverless transpor. However, we make different law a out driving safe.If driver dont follow this they have to pay heavy fine.An experience driver is always present in the vehicle

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The candidate addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages of driverless vehicles. Main ideas are presented, such as job losses and safety concerns regarding AI control, though they are somewhat limited and under-developed. For example, the point about job losses is stated briefly without deep elaboration, and the personal anecdote about a video seen online lacks formal academic backing. Additionally, some arguments veer slightly off course into general traffic behaviour in countries like Pakistan and India rather than strictly focusing on autonomous vehicle technology. Nevertheless, all parts of the prompt are addressed, fulfilling the requirements for a Band 5.5 to 6.0 level of task response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response shows some logical organisation with basic paragraphing, attempting to separate advantages and disadvantages. However, progression is frequently disjointed. Cohesive devices are either missing, inadequate, or repetitive, such as the overuse of simple transitional phrases like 'Firstly', 'Second', and 'For example'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and sentences often feel disconnected rather than flowing smoothly from one to the next. Paragraph breaks are applied, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks sophisticated cohesion, making the overall arrangement characteristic of a Band 5.0.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently impeded by word-choice and spelling errors. Examples include 'vehicle' instead of vehicles, 'oportunity', 'relay' instead of rely, and 'theough'. The candidate attempts some less common terms like 'transport', 'technology', and 'technical issue', but these are often used inaccurately or lack precision. The limited range of vocabulary and frequent spelling errors that occasionally strain the reader place this response firmly in the Band 5.0 category.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the essay, with frequent errors in basic syntax, subject-verb agreement, and punctuation. Examples include 'In the future all vehicle will be driverless', 'The citizen who travelled', and 'people time has lost'. There is a very limited range of structures, and attempts at complex sentences frequently result in faulty grammar. Punctuation errors are also common, such as missing spaces after periods and missing apostrophes ('dont'). These frequent errors cause some difficulty for the reader, matching the descriptors for Band 5.0.
