Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future all the vehicles will be driverless because of technology. only passengers travelling by cars without driver. I strongly believe that driverless cars has significant disadvantage for people also for country. There are more disadvantages outweigh advantages. Both the benefits and drawbacks will be discussed in the forthcoming paragraphs with valid examples.
To begin with, use of driver less cars has significant disadvantages for people such as accident issue also people become lazy and fully depends on technology. To explain further, when citizens use driverless cars they fully dependent on machines, and machines is made by humans and operated by humans. Its not work everytime properly, then it causes accident on the road due to network and technical problems. Consequently, human reduce their life span and sometimes damage their body. Therefore, I believe that use of driverless cars can damge someone life and body.
Furthermore, some people totally depends on technology and applications made by human, but it can increase the unemployment ratio. Moreover, numerous people affect and experience financial issues. Conversely, it creates burden for government such as accident and help citizens by financially. Moreover, to produce driverless cars to requires a lots of investment, such as engineers and machines, technological devices. It indirectly results in incresing government budget and make problem for country. For example, when Indian government started driverless car project in 2002, it affected on economy and citizens. Conversely, they had to stopped immediately to tackle the situation.
On the other hand, use of driverless vehicles has few benefits for people to complete their work whiel driving and getting ready for special occasions. Also, people would not required to pay salary for driver. It results in savings of money and can spend on other essential aspect of life. For instance, when someone wants to reach marriage function and getting late then tehy could ready while driving such as lipstick and make hairstyle.
To recapitulate, although use of driverless cars has benefits for people, I strongly believe that the use of cars without driver has more disadvantages for people as well as country. government should require to increase the budget amounts for production of vehicles also it caused accident issue on road.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles and presents a clear position that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The ideas are generally relevant, covering points such as safety issues, unemployment, and government budget burdens, as well as minor benefits like multitasking and saving on driver salaries. However, some arguments lack full development and rely on broad generalisations, such as the unsupported claim that the Indian government started and immediately stopped a driverless car project in 2002. Despite these limitations in support and depth, all parts of the task are addressed, earning a Band 6.0.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The text is arranged into an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall awareness of paragraphing. However, progression is frequently disrupted by mechanical and repetitive use of cohesive devices, particularly 'conversely' (which is misused to introduce points rather than contrasts) and 'moreover'. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and internal cohesion within paragraphs can be disjointed. For instance, transitions between the economic impact on the government and the personal disadvantages of laziness are abrupt. Overall organisation is adequate to make the essay coherent, but cohesive control remains inconsistent, fitting the Band 5.5 descriptor.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical resource is limited and adequate for the task, but contains noticeable errors that occasionally impede communication. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'forthcoming', 'unemployment ratio', and 'economy', but struggles with collocation and word formation (e.g., 'accident issue', 'help citizens by financially', 'make hairstyle', 'damge someone life'). Spelling and word choice errors occur frequently (e.g., 'whiel', 'tehy'). These inaccuracies reflect the characteristics of Band 5.0, where vocabulary is minimally adequate but errors cause some difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writing displays a mix of simple and attempted complex sentence forms. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'machines is made', 'vehicles has', 'government should require to increase'), article usage, missing prepositions, and tense consistency. For example, 'when Indian government started... it affected on economy and citizens' contains structural and prepositional errors. While simple sentences are generally understandable, attempts at more complex structures often result in faulty grammar that can cause difficulty for the reader, aligning closely with Band 5.0.
