Student answer (Band 5.5)
The future of all cars and trucks will be driverless. the technologey is getting better day by day. this could bring some benifits. there willbe only passengers in the vehicels. driverless cars has advantages. but there will be some disadvantages. in my opinion the driverless cars advantages will outweigh the disadvantages.
One main advantage is the road safety. the humen drivers can make mistakes because they are tired or distracted by something so this can cause any road accident or any explosion. However, the driverless cars can detect anything because of his modren features and the uniqe sensors. they can detect any error or humen disturbance. this thing can reduce the amount of accidents and other troubles. For example, the driverless cars can detect automatically what is infront of the car is it a vehicle or a humen.
Second advantage of the driverless cars is the olderly people can use it without any issue. They do not have to drive it or asking someone to drive. This can be helpfull like if you are using a driverless car you do many things while in the car like study, watch movie or you can read news paper. the people who do not know to drive can use it freely.
In addition, many driverless cars and trucks can be used for long hours without any driver.
There are some disadvantages of the driverless cars, because these cars depend on the new technology and are electric so there will be some sudden issues and these issues can cause accidents.
In conclusion, The future of the driverless cars, buses and trucks is bright they have lot of benifits for people. there would be some failures that can happen.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing the future of driverless vehicles, presenting arguments for both advantages and disadvantages, and clearly stating an opinion that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Ideas are introduced and supported with relevant examples, such as road safety through automated detection and accessibility for elderly people. However, some arguments are underdeveloped or overly generalized, typical of a Band 6 level. For instance, the point regarding long hours of use for trucks lacks detailed expansion. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of task fulfilment prevents it from reaching higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay displays an overall logical arrangement, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs addressing specific aspects, and a concluding statement. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One main advantage', 'Second advantage', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion'. However, paragraphing is somewhat erratic, with some very brief paragraphs that lack internal cohesion, and referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., shifting pronouns from 'you' to 'they' inconsistently). Furthermore, punctuation and capitalization errors throughout the text disrupt the flow and make the mechanical nature of cohesion more apparent.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, incorporating topic-specific terms like 'driverless cars', 'sensors', 'accidents', and 'technology'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('technologey', 'benifits', 'vehicels', 'humen', 'modren', 'uniqe', 'helpfull') and instances of imprecise word choice ('olderly people' instead of 'elderly people'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they reflect a limited control over less common vocabulary and spelling conventions, placing the performance firmly in the Band 5 category.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional ideas and relative clauses. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors including missing articles, incorrect subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'driverless cars has advantages'), incorrect pronoun usage ('his modren features'), and capitalization and punctuation failures at the start of sentences. Complex structures are often faulty. While meaning is generally recoverable despite these errors, the high frequency of basic mistakes prevents the score from rising above Band 5.
