Student answer (Band 4.5)

In future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers

With the rapid development of technology, driverless vehicles are becoming a reality, due to the enhancement of A.I which is popularly termed as artificial intelligence there is a very less use of human which often leads to unemployment, the way technology is increasing the manual cars will be completely vanished. It is often thought that human will be replaced by A.I in each and every task for intance, jobs as well as driving cars, as driving cars is very popular in india so many citizens will obviously, loose there jobs, as well as reduces employment and promote technology this incident of promoting machinery rather than hand made things are mostly promoted in factory, as it provides employment to many people, if the technology will increase this way many people will loose their employment and will not receive there salaries which will naturally lead to fanancial

crisis.

So in my opinion the jobs should not be fully replaced by A.I in order to provide them employment in the country they are living in.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The response presents a position regarding whether the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages, focusing primarily on the socio-economic impact and potential job losses. However, the task is addressed only partially, as the writer only discusses disadvantages and completely neglects potential advantages such as safety, efficiency, or reduced traffic congestion. Furthermore, the response falls significantly short of the required 250-word minimum, containing only 192 words. This under-length impacts the depth of idea development, leading to a Band 4.5 descriptor profile where ideas are limited, repetitive, and lack comprehensive support.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The text suffers from severe structural and organizational flaws. The entire body of the essay is compressed into a single, excessively long and convoluted paragraph, followed by a brief single-sentence conclusion. There is a lack of effective paragraphing to separate distinct ideas. Cohesive devices are largely absent or misused, with run-on sentences strung together by commas rather than proper punctuation or conjunctions, such as '...as driving cars is very popular in india so many citizens will obviously, loose there jobs, as well as reduces employment...'. This results in a lack of clear progression, yielding a Band 4.0 score.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic, repetitive, and sometimes inaccurate. The writer frequently repeats words such as 'employment', 'technology', and 'jobs' without demonstrating a wide range. There are also several lexical errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'loose there jobs' instead of 'lose their jobs', 'fanancial crisis', and 'hand made things'. While the attempt to introduce terminology like 'artificial intelligence' is positive, the limited range and frequent spelling and word-choice errors constrain the score to Band 4.5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

Grammatical control is weak throughout the text. The response consists mostly of long, poorly structured run-on sentences connected by comma splices rather than a balanced mix of simple and complex structures. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and spelling, such as 'fanancial' and 'loose' for 'lose'. Punctuation is largely neglected, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of clauses. These frequent errors and the lack of structural variety place this performance firmly at Band 4.0.
