Student answer (Band 4.5)
As one person I cant give the one and only right answer but with my own thoughts I can give this opinion .
The advantages of this idea are many people with disibalaties and even old once can be independent with such cars no need of other people to help them which make them feel beter about them selfs. and feel comfotable going every where they want. but in the other side it make humanty lazier year after year nothing important human caqn do without looking to how many would lose there carer as bus driver, taxies ,uber, driver, etc. most of them are people with families trying to make as much money they can so they can sleep peace fully . upgrading technology is ok but sometimes we need to stop thinking about earning money and look about what really matters . we dont actully need this driverless vehicles there are people who already had this job and even if look to other sides as natuer what is the point of this vehicles? extremly nothing exept dameging nature . and at the end of the day we got driverless vehicles and such preaty technology and distroed natuer . that what humanity can do distroy untill we got nothing to eat no clean water to drink and then human beaing will understand that " WE CAN NOT EAT MONEY"
we need to stop cause problems we have no need to this vehicles can save and make money but for what coest? the earth ? can help some people but why for to dameg the other?
that's my personal opinion .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The candidate addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. While the writer mentions the benefits for disabled and elderly people and the drawbacks regarding employment loss and environmental impact, these points remain largely underdeveloped. The position is stated, but the arguments are emotional and lack depth or concrete supporting examples. The response addresses the task overall, aligning with Band 5 descriptors where ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The text suffers from a lack of standard paragraphing, written mostly as a single block of text or broken arbitrarily, which severely hinders the logical flow. There is a lack of clear overall progression, and cohesive devices are either absent or basic and repetitive (e.g., 'and', 'but', 'at the end of the day'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and punctuation is largely neglected, making it difficult for the reader to follow the transitions between ideas. These features reflect Band 4 to 5 characteristics, though basic organisation places it firmly at a Band 4.5, rounded to 4.5.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is quite basic and repetitive ('make', 'people', 'money', 'nature'). There are numerous spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'disibalaties' for disabilities, 'comfotable' for comfortable, 'caqn' for can, 'carer' for career, 'taxies' for taxis, 'peace fully' for peacefully, 'actully' for actually, 'natuer' for nature, 'extremly' for extremely, 'dameging' for damaging, 'preaty' for pretty, 'distroed' for destroyed, 'beaing' for being, and 'coest' for cost. These errors strain the reader and reflect a limited lexical range, consistent with Band 4 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The grammatical range is extremely limited, relying heavily on simple sentences and run-on structures connected by coordinating conjunctions without proper punctuation. There is a persistent lack of control over basic syntax, subject-verb agreement, and tense consistency (e.g., 'there are people who already had this job', 'that what humanity can do distroy'). Punctuation is largely absent, leading to frequent comma splices and a lack of sentence boundaries. These pervasive errors and the very limited range of structures align with the Band 4 descriptors.
