Student answer (Band 5.5)
With the help of technology mode of transportation such as buses, trucks and cars will be transformed into driverless. there will be only passaengers while travelling. I believe this development creates more negative outcomes rather than positive results.
To begin with, on of the main disadvantages of driverless transportation will technical failure. As, future mode of transportation will run by
advance softwares which may some time face technical issues such as failure in system and glitch in softwares.consequently, it leads to inconveniency for travellers and some time promotes risk of accidents. Another drawback is it take away jobs of well trained drivers. In feilds of transportation, many people are earning with their skills of driving, all over the world. For example, in most of the companies empolyers required well trained driver to operate their daily logistics task. as a result, drivers will be jobless if driverless mean of transport will be introduced in society.
However, automatic transformed vehicles can reduce over reliance on drivers in less populated countries. Nation with less population can perform their industrial and personal operation without depending too much on international employees. For an instance, in many countries drivers are commanly required from outside of their home due to less population. Therefore, with the help of driverless vehicles they can commute easily.
To conclude, although advance automatic vehicle reduce over dependency on drivers in less populated countries to travel , these vehicles can also involve some risk factors like accident and technical failures which leads to more drawbacks rather than positive sides.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles and clearly stating a position that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The main ideas, such as technical failures and job losses for human drivers, are introduced and supported with relevant explanations and examples. However, some arguments lack full extension and depth. For instance, the counter-argument regarding less populated countries is briefly mentioned but remains somewhat underdeveloped. Overall, the response meets the criteria for Band 6.0 as it addresses the task adequately, presents a clear position, and develops relevant ideas, even though some points require further elaboration to reach higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, such as disadvantages and advantages. Cohesive devices are employed to link sentences and paragraphs, using transition phrases like 'To begin with', 'Another drawback is', and 'To conclude'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes faulty or mechanical, and occasional punctuation and capitalization oversights occur, such as lowercase letters at the beginning of sentences ('there will be only passaengers', 'as, future mode'). Despite these minor mechanical cohesion issues, the logical progression is generally clear throughout the text, warranting a solid Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting some less common lexical items such as 'transportation', 'disadvantages', 'logistics', and 'over reliance'. However, there are numerous noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'passaengers', 'inconveniency', 'feilds', 'empolyers', 'commanly', and 'advance' instead of 'advanced'. These errors do not seriously impede communication, as the reader can still understand the intended meaning, but they restrict the lexical score. The repetition of basic phrasing and word formation errors keeps the lexical resource within the Band 5.5 to 6.0 range, comfortably sitting at a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures with subordinate clauses and conditional ideas. However, grammatical accuracy is inconsistent. There are frequent errors in articles, prepositions, verb forms, and punctuation, such as missing capital letters at the start of sentences ('there will be', 'consequently, it leads', 'as a result'), awkward phrasing ('will run by advance softwares'), and agreement issues ('automatic transformed vehicles can reduce'). While these errors cause occasional distraction, they rarely completely impede communication. The control of grammar is characteristic of Band 5.5, showing a mix of correct simple structures alongside recurrent errors in complex constructions.
