IELTS Writing Task 2 question

In the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers.

Do you think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

Student answer (Band 4.5)

In today's rapidly changing world, this issue has become a matter of considerable debate. Some people believe that all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless in the future while, the only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. On the other hand, some argues that opposite.

Initially, there are many reasons for this. Nowadays, modern technology was growing all over the world. People can access everything by sitting at home only because of technology. These days, a different types of robots placed in many restaurants where those robots do all the work. Furthermore, indivisiuals believe that cars buses and truck will be fly in air in the future and it was only possible because of technology. For instance, one of my friends who live in America. He is very poor but he never give up and always did hard work. He is interested to discover different types of things and for that purposes, he continue his study according to his wish and become a successful man. Moreover, he discover robots in his laboratory and he believed that one days he will develop that things which make possible that cars, buses and truck will be driverless.

In my opinion, these types of improvements takes world into the next level. This is also beneficial and new experience for public. These types of developments makes people very punctual and disciplined.

In conclusion, this issue has both positive and negative aspects; however, i believe that the most effective approach is to consider the long-term benefits for indivisuals and society.
