Student answer (Band 6.0)
There is an opinion that all kind of transport will be driverless in the near future. I believe that this is a good thing and advantages overveights the disadvantages.
In the present world most of the people use some kind of trasport, including buses, trains and of course private cars. It is a necessety and not a privilege. Today all listed vehicles are driving by human. As we all know people are not perfect and can do some mistakes, be distracted or panic due to some situation on the road instead of acting. I think that a mashine driver has more cool thinking and is more predictible on the road. Robot can't be distracted by passenger and it can act due to build in protocol if some sitation happens. In adition, if its a private car, a driver can be hand free during the ride and deal with his own business, read a book for example or work on laptop. Forthemore, this change can lead to decreases in expensies for public transport companies because they will not pay any salary to the drivers each month.
Although all the advantages there are few minuses. Not all kinds of unpredictible situation can be build in the program and prevent crashes on the road. Mashine dont have any common sense and can't active by impulses. Another issue is tecnical support to the trasport that must take place very often in order to prevent disasters. Technical issue can be very expensieve and this is something people should count when using driverless vehicles.
In my opinion this driverless vehicles are invention that is much more safe to the passengers and others on the road. This is a future we want to live in and this is why I think that there much more advantages than disadvantages to driverless traveling.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position and discussing both advantages and disadvantages, which earns the baseline score. The ideas presented are relevant, but some aspects remain somewhat under-developed. For instance, the discussion on the reduction of public transport expenses and the points regarding safety and technical support are introduced without deep exploration or concrete examples. To reach a higher level, the writer would need to extend and fully develop their arguments rather than relying on general assertions. Nevertheless, a clear stance is maintained throughout the essay, demonstrating a competent engagement with the prompt's core question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a logical progression of ideas from introduction to body paragraphs and a final conclusion. The text is appropriately divided into paragraphs, each focusing on a distinct aspect of the topic. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. For example, transition phrases like 'Although all the advantages there are few minuses' reveal awkward phrasing and referencing, and cohesive devices are occasionally basic. To move towards higher bands, the writer should employ a wider and more flexible range of cohesive devices and ensure that referencing between sentences is smoother and less abrupt.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing a sufficient range to communicate basic ideas about driverless vehicles. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'predictible', 'disasters', and 'expensies', but these attempts are marred by noticeable spelling errors and word choice inaccuracies. Words are occasionally misused or misspelled, such as 'trasport' instead of transport, 'mashine' instead of machine, and 'sitazione' or 'sitation' instead of situation. These errors reflect a limited control of word forms and spelling. To improve lexical resource, the student needs to build a more accurate spelling habit and expand their control of collocations and less common lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and some complex sentence forms, reflecting an adequate control of basic grammar. However, there are persistent errors in grammar and punctuation throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('all kind of transport', 'advantages overveights'), article omissions ('is invention'), and awkward prepositions or passive structures ('are driving by human'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur regularly and restrict the grammar score. To achieve a higher band, the writer must produce a greater proportion of error-free sentences when using complex structures and refine their control over tense consistency, articles, and plurals.
