Student answer (Band 5.0)

It is often said that the rate at which technoloy is revolutionizing , that time is not far when all vehicle become driverless and the peopel travekling inside these vehicles will only be passengers. It has numerous advantages. however, in my opinion, the governmnets hould take a balanced appraoch because robotic vehicles cant entirely replaced the experienced drivers.

One of the most worthwhile reason, all Robotic or driverless vehicles will run on automated speed which will entirely be under regulations and rules. This will results in the decrease of accidents caused by overspeeding and reckless driving. For an instance, in many Asain countries, many bus drivers race with othere bus drivers which end up in horrific traffic accdents involving multiple veicles. Another most paramount factor, most truck drivers who work late nights are driving in state of drowsiness , which is most likely caused by intoxication of Alcohols and other drugs. this ends up again in large traffic accidents and loss of multiple precious human lives. Moreover, with the introduction of driverless transport, it decrease the overall travelling time for passegers because nost vehicle drivers try to overstop at some stations and just want to load as much as they can without thinking about the regulations.

However, it would be really impractical to completely replace the drivers because these robotic vehicles are machine in the end and any techical error and litches can ocuur at any time, so its more advisable to use a balance approach with atleast one driver in each bus to avoid any worse situation. Further, it tends to reduce the ecomic opportunities for the drivers, so it would be highly beneficial to atleast have one driver in each automated bus.

To conclude, driverless vehicles have multiple advanatges such as driving with safe limits, and reduction in car accidents but mp

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the task partially, as the writer attempts to discuss both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, presenting a clear position that a balanced approach is necessary. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive, particularly towards the end where the essay dissolves into disjointed notes and fragmented phrases like advantages on regulated speed, dont overstop on some stops. While relevant points such as safety regulations and driver drowsiness are introduced, they lack full elaboration. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to ensure all ideas are thoroughly developed without relying on incomplete bullet-point style summaries at the conclusion, maintaining a consistent focus throughout the entire essay.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The organisation of the text presents significant challenges, as there is a lack of clear overall progression and logical flow, especially in the final sections where the writing breaks down into disconnected fragments. Although paragraphing is attempted, the transitions between ideas are often abrupt or mechanically forced using basic connectives like One of the most worthwhile reason and Another most paramount factor. Referencing can also be unclear, and the repetitive listing of points near the end disrupts the overall coherence. To improve, the writer must structure paragraphs with clear topic sentences, ensure smooth logical links between ideas, and avoid trailing off into unstructured notes at the end of the response.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is minimally adequate for the task, but it features noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples of these inaccuracies include technoloy, peopel, travekling, governmnets, appraoch, cant entirely replaced, litches, and ocuur. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as paramount factor and drowsiness, but struggles with correct collocation and spelling precision. To achieve a higher score, the vocabulary range needs to be wider and applied with greater accuracy, ensuring that spelling mistakes and awkward lexical choices do not impede communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response displays a very limited range of sentence structures, with frequent grammatical errors that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are persistent issues with article usage, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions, such as in state of drowsiness instead of in a state of drowsiness, and it decrease instead of it decreases. Attempts at complex sentences frequently result in faulty structures and punctuation errors, particularly visible in run-on sentences and sentence fragments. To progress further, the writer must demonstrate better control over basic sentence mechanics, reduce the frequency of grammatical mistakes, and use a wider variety of complex grammatical forms accurately.
