Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern society all vichles will be driverless because this are used for individulas travelling without driver. Although the advantages like overcome the accident and helpful for saving money can not be sideline yet disadvantages such as people are more depend on technology and reduce work opportunities for people. I will discussed the both point of view in the upcoming paraghraphs.

There are many people, who reckon that driverless transhport will be increase in the future because it avoid accident. Many people drive vehicle, when they are tired during their work pressure, which is leads to the accident in the roads. For example, many young generation have they own vehicles nowdyas, so they are very busy with work, so start drinking to overcome their stress. After drinking they drive, which leds to a accident, but if car was automaticle, which save people life to avoid human mistake, while they drive. Moreover, it aslo individuals money because most of the busniess man hire a driver for their work, so if the car was roobotick it was save people money.

On the other hand, driverless transports also create problems for people because people are rely on mechines for their work. Many of the massis avoid the work by their hand, which leds them to depend on technology rather than themself. Furthermore, if people depend on technology, it also hard for individuals to find a job because not everyone are afford to buy expencive items. For example, many people are depend on their driving skills to earn money to support their family, but technology nowdays create less job opportunities for people, which depend on their skills.

To conclude, In the moderate time people prefer driverless vehicles, but it has many difficiluties for people who depent on job in this sector or mostly people are rely on technology. It has some benefits also, which essential for person life and their save their money, but in my perspective benefits are more than disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, ultimately presenting a clear position in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is uneven. While the points regarding safety and job reduction are introduced, some supporting examples are somewhat repetitive or lack full elaboration. For instance, the discussion on young drivers and drinking, while attempting to illustrate human error, becomes convoluted. To reach a higher level, the ideas need to be more fully extended and supported with clearer, more relevant real-world examples that directly address the prompt without tangential explanations.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used sufficiently to divide the discussion into logical sections, tackling advantages in the second paragraph and disadvantages in the third. However, the cohesion can feel somewhat mechanical and repetitive, relying heavily on basic transitional markers like 'Although', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude'. Additionally, referencing and pronoun use are occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous use of 'this' and 'it' in sentences like 'because this are used for individulas travelling'. Improving the variety and precision of cohesive devices would create a smoother logical progression throughout the text.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey basic ideas about transportation and technology, but the range is limited and noticeably affected by frequent spelling and word choice errors. The student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'robotick', 'transhport', and 'massis', but these attempts introduce errors that occasionally impede communication. Spelling mistakes are recurrent, including 'vichles', 'individulas', 'paraghraphs', 'nowdyas', 'mechines', and 'difficiluties'. To improve to the next band, the writer needs to expand their lexical range with accurate spelling and more precise word choices suited to an academic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting complex structures through conditional clauses and subordinate clauses. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. Issues include problems with subject-verb agreement ('all vichles will be driverless because this are used'), incorrect verb forms ('which is leads to the accident', 'if car was automaticle, which save people life'), and missing articles or incorrect plurals ('leds to a accident', 'support their family'). To progress further, the writer must exercise better control over basic grammatical structures, verb tenses, and article usage to ensure clearer and more accurate sentence formation.
