Student answer (Band 5.0)
Travelling is an essential part in every field of life. In future we will see the road traffic will be driver less because advancement of technology is enough in the next few years for making driver less vehicles like automated vehicles whose driver will AI. I think its advantages are so much as compare to its disadvantages. I will discuss both merits and demerits and then deliver my own opinion.
On the one hand, there are several positives of automated vehicles. Firstly, some people prefer driver less vehicles because by using that vehicles they are able to use to the driver seat as a passenger seat. Secondly, by using self driving vehicles
people are able to use mobile for doing some work without any risk of accident.
Moreover, these cars require no perfect driver for driving these cars requires only computer based information.
On the other hand, there are many negatives of self driving cars. The main disadvantage is, some time automated vehicles are out of order due to some technical disorder and this trouble leads to serious accidents. Another demerit,
when there is no driver in vehicles sometimes the some technical error accour
and passenger are not able to set that problem and this type leads to time waste.
To conclude, i think the positives of driverless vehicles are more enough as compare to its negatives because the main reasons of driverless vehicles are more reliable because it reduce the risks of accidents on road because there are totally based on computer and it also saves the seat of driver.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt only partially, which places it at this level. You do state a position right at the beginning by mentioning that you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, but the development of this stance is quite limited. Your ideas are under-developed, particularly in the body paragraphs where points like using the driver seat as a passenger seat or doing work on a mobile phone are repeated without much extension or specific support. Furthermore, some of your explanations are a bit unclear, such as stating that automated vehicles require computer-based information rather than a perfect driver. To move to a higher band, you need to ensure that every main idea is fully explained with clear supporting details and concrete examples rather than relying on brief, repetitive statements.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Your essay has some basic organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and you make use of standard signposting words like 'Firstly', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude'. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas throughout the text. The flow between sentences is sometimes hindered by mechanical or repetitive cohesive devices. For instance, you frequently rely on phrases like 'by using that vehicles' or 'driver less vehicles' to link your thoughts, which makes the progression feel disjointed. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks smooth transitions. To improve your score in this area, you should work on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more accurately and ensure that your ideas build logically upon one another without unnecessary repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate to convey your basic message. You attempt some less common vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'automated vehicles' and 'technical disorder', but there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. For example, terms like 'driver less' are written with spaces, and phrases like 'technical error accour' contain spelling mistakes. You also use repetitive phrasing, such as 'driver less vehicles' and 'self driving vehicles' multiple times instead of employing a rich variety of synonyms. To reach a higher level, you need to expand your lexical range, pay closer attention to spelling and word forms, and use less common vocabulary with greater precision and natural collocation.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You demonstrate a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms. Unfortunately, your attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty, leading to frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that can cause difficulty for the reader. There are noticeable issues with subject-verb agreement, prepositions, and article usage throughout the text, such as in the sentences 'In future we will see the road traffic will be driver less' and 'passenger are not able to set that problem'. Punctuation is also weak, particularly regarding sentence boundaries. To achieve a higher band, you must increase the variety of your sentence structures and improve your accuracy by mastering basic grammatical patterns, tense consistency, and correct prepositions.
