Student answer (Band 6.0)

In today's globalized world, the proliferation of technology is frequent. Consequently, it is widely expected that there will be robotic vehicles in future. Individuals will just travel as passangers in cars, buses and trucks. I strongly believe that the benefits of driverless vehciles surpass the drawbacks. This essay will discuss both advanytages and disadvantages in detail before explaining by view.

On the one hand, it is claimed that digital automobiles will bring numerous benefits. It saves time during long commutes which will be use to do crucial task during travel instead of driving, reduces the rate of road accidents, and helps to make surrounding eco-friendly. For instance, the rate of accidents are frequent in Pakistan because people don't take proper nap and drive cars even during tiredness. As a result, they lose their focus towards road and accidents occur. when vechiles become driverless, this human fault will decreases. Consequently, the number of accidents will dipped.

Despite pros there are a few cons of driverless transport. Firstly, drivers will be jobless which will create financial crisis for them. Secondly, individuals will be dependent on technologies. Consequently, it will hazard the society. For instance, if vechiles become driverless, many people will lose their jobs. Hence, they will face challenges to fulfill fundamental needs of their family.

Although there are various disdvantages of robotic automobiles as it increases the rate of jobless people, advantages of driverless transport reduces the accidents rate. As a consequence, it decreases the life-threatening complications occurs due to road accidents. Additionaly, people will safe their time during long comutes and utilize it to complete their task on mobile phone. From my standpoints benefits od robotic vechiles outweight drawbacks, as individuals can learn extra skills and get other jobs but life-threatening issues can be control if human drive cars.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of driverless vehicles, and it maintains a clear position throughout that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The ideas presented are relevant, but some are more fully developed than others, which is characteristic of this level. For instance, the discussion on safety and accident reduction in Pakistan provides a specific example, whereas the points on job losses and societal dependence are somewhat repetitive and lack deeper extension. To reach a higher band, the student should ensure that all main ideas are thoroughly supported with extended explanations or richer real-world examples rather than briefly reiterating points in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, demonstrating an attempt at logical progression. Cohesive devices are employed, such as 'On the one hand', 'Despite pros', and 'Consequently', but their use is at times mechanical or slightly repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different arguments, though referencing and transitions between sentences could be smoother to avoid abrupt shifts. To move to the next band, the student should employ a wider variety of cohesive relationships and ensure that referencing within and between sentences is consistently clear and natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to communicate their main ideas about technology and transport. However, there is a limited range with noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'passangers', 'vehciles', 'advanytages', and 'Additionaly'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary items like 'globalized world' and 'proliferation', but also relies on basic terms and suffers from frequent inaccuracies in word form and collocation. To improve in this area, the writer needs to expand their lexical repertoire, exercise greater precision in word choice, and pay closer attention to standard English spelling to ensure communication is completely effortless for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and result clauses. However, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation, including subject-verb agreement issues ('the rate of accidents are', 'complications occurs') and tense inconsistencies ('will dipped', 'people will safe'). While these errors do not completely obscure the overall meaning, they persist throughout the text and cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band, the student must increase the proportion of error-free sentences by exercising better control over verb forms, articles, plurals, and basic grammatical patterns.
