Student answer (Band 5.5)

In upcoming years, every vehicle such as car, bus, and trucks will not have any driver. However, only commuters will find inside the means of transport. Although few masses believe in its pros because of fewer accidents and used by any kind of person, I holds the viewpoint in its cons.

On the one hand, some people believe in its advantages due to fewer accidents. To elaborate, the issues like tiredness, fatigue, drinking alcohol have not be faced by machineries by which the chance of accidents will be decreased and lifes of people get saved. Another major reason is automated cars can be used by any kind of person. This is due to fact that, the people who are blind, not physically fit such as person who have not any organ, they can enjoy full benefit of this advancement in vehicles. For instance, lifestyle of people would get changed also, benefit would be taken by people who are in emergency. Thus, masses life would be get easy and comfortable with driverless transports.

On the other hand, I holds my point of view in its disadvantages because of system hacking risk. This is due to fact that if vehicles run with help of technology, then it may be get hacked by cybercrimes due to which individuals can get into trouble. Other reason is lack of jobs. To clarify, if transportation become driverless then it not only cause the problem of hacking, but also snatch the jobs of drivers through which they run their home. For example, the problem of lack of education, food, clothes may be faced by the family of drivers. Therefore, some people get umemployed and get into trouble with advanced feature of technology.

To conclude, even though there are several benefits of the driverless vehicles, it also have the equal drawbacks which may not bring prosperity in the society and not wise to accept this idea.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and make your position clear: you acknowledge safety and accessibility benefits, then argue that hacking and job losses make driverless transport undesirable. These points are relevant, and the examples about people with disabilities and drivers’ families help support them. However, the discussion does not fully establish whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages: the conclusion calls the drawbacks “equal” but then says the idea is “not wise to accept,” leaving the comparison somewhat unresolved. Some ideas also need fuller explanation. For example, the claim that driverless vehicles help people in emergencies is mentioned but not illustrated, and the consequences of hacking are not explained in detail. Develop and compare the strongest points before reaching a decisive conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The contrastive signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” along with “To conclude,” make the progression easy to follow. This coherent arrangement is a strength. However, some linking is mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated “This is due to fact that” and “To clarify.” A few connections between ideas are also unclear: “For instance” introduces a broad statement about lifestyle and emergencies rather than a specific example, while the sentence about hacking and job losses combines two separate points. Use more varied, precise transitions and make each paragraph’s internal sequence explicit to strengthen the flow further.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “automated cars,” “system hacking,” “cybercrimes,” and “driverless transports,” so the reader can identify the main subject and arguments. However, the range is limited by repeated general terms such as “people,” “problem,” and “trouble,” and several word choices or collocations are unnatural or unclear. For example, “I holds the viewpoint in its cons” does not express your position naturally, and “snatch the jobs” is an unsuitable collocation in this context. There are also spelling and word-form errors, such as “lifes” and “umemployed.” Aim for more precise phrases such as “job displacement” and “cyberattacks,” and check spelling and collocations carefully so your meaning is consistently clear.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if vehicles run with help of technology” and clauses beginning with “Although” and “because.” This shows an attempt to vary sentence structure. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction recur. Examples include “I holds,” “have not be faced,” “transportation become,” and “it also have.” The sentence beginning “Although few masses believe…” is also difficult to follow because its clauses are not formed clearly. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and simplify complex sentences when needed; then check articles and plural forms during revision.
