Student answer (Band 4.5)

In the future all cars buseas and trucks will be driverless. The only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers.

I think both are advantage and disadvantage we can discuss the first advantage of the car buses are driverless.

In the europe and asian countries have more advatange due to the buses cars trucks are driverless. These countries are more advance and modern therefore they have a proper roads and also have a traffic signals. They have no need to arrange a driver because AI is more advanced and make the people life very easy and fast. If you book cab in europe country so the cars is reached without driver it is very safe and comfortable.

Now a days AI is more advanced and scientist can also work on this to improve the AI to make people lifes better.

On the other hand they have many disadvantage therefore in pakistan and others countries like india bangladesh cars buses are not drive without driver due to they have a many problems in this country. The first problems is no having a good roads and also have no traffic signals if the country can drive the cars buses without driver so i think most of accidents in daily because Ai is more advanced and also follow the everything so in thse countries are not advanced and modern so these advantage can not lie on this. If the buses cars and truck are drive into the countries so most of the people can enter into so they have outweigh then have problem.

In my opinion in the future the govenments can improve the roads and also applied the traffic signals and everthings is good then the in future the buses cars and truck are drive without drivers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by discussing potential benefits, such as convenience and comfort, and drawbacks, particularly the risks of using driverless vehicles where roads and traffic systems are poor. However, the task asks whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and your position is not consistently clear: you begin by saying both sides exist, then focus on differences between countries, and conclude that governments may improve infrastructure without directly stating which side outweighs the other. The ideas are relevant but remain general and are not sufficiently explained or supported with a specific example. To improve, state your judgement clearly in the introduction and conclusion, then explain how the benefits or risks affect passengers and road users. The 15 words copied from the task prompt were not counted.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

Your response has an identifiable introduction, a paragraph about advantages, a paragraph about disadvantages, and a concluding statement. This gives the reader a basic sense of the two sides. However, progression within paragraphs is difficult to follow, and links between ideas are often unclear. For example, the discussion moves from advanced countries having good roads to booking a cab, without clearly explaining how this supports the overall comparison. The contrast marker “On the other hand” is useful, but connections such as “therefore” are repeated or do not show a clear logical relationship. Some references, including “these advantage” and “they have outweigh,” are hard to interpret. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, explain it in sequence, and use linking phrases only where the relationship is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless,” “traffic signals,” “AI,” “accidents,” and “comfortable,” so the reader can identify the main subject and concerns. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “advanced,” “modern,” and “cars buses trucks.” Spelling and word-choice errors also make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “advatange,” “thse,” and “the people lifes.” Some combinations are unnatural, for example “the cars is reached without driver” and “these advantage can not lie on this.” Build a more precise set of terms for benefits and risks, and check spelling and collocations. Using alternatives such as “autonomous vehicles,” “road infrastructure,” and “reduce travel time” would help express your ideas more clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences using connectors such as “because,” “therefore,” and “if,” showing an effort to express cause and condition. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and frequent errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, articles, and plurals can make meaning difficult to follow. For instance, “In the europe and asian countries have more advatange” lacks a clear subject and has incorrect article and agreement patterns; “the cars is reached” also has subject–verb and verb-form problems. The final sentence, “the buses cars and truck are drive without drivers,” is similarly difficult to interpret. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add one clause at a time. Check punctuation and use consistent plural forms when describing vehicles and countries.
