Student answer (Band 4.5)

In the upcoming decades all vehicles including, cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only only people travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. Although certain benefits exits, i believe the disadvantages is generally outweight the advantages.

On the ond hand, there are various reasons that leads to major concequences. It results in, sudden incidents and battery issues. Firstly, people have been relying increasingly on driving, so it can be quite challenging and trustworthy as a driverless vehicles. For instance, a research indicates that there are serious driverless cases are becoming common due to a lack of vehicles functioning and reliablity. Furthermore, fuel is the main sources of vehicles and easy to available, but there is no enough battery charging stations for electric and driverless vehicles around the world. Therefore, this circumstance can significantly lead underlying conditions.

On the other hand, phenominally autonomous vehicles offer sustanibility, durability and sense of security. For example, affluent people always scared of security, they used to avoid excessive travelling due to sense of security. Thus, this modern technology becomes more sustain for the upper class. Additionally, a lot of reports shows that driverless vehicles are not enough durable for hustle bustle and traffic congestion cities. Driverless vehicles often fail in terms of signal and sensors command. although driverless technology providing sustainibility, this technique can never be replace traditional driving method.

In conclusion, some individuals can be benefited from modern driverless technology, initially most of the people may not be replaced their driving skill with driverless technique.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and you attempt to discuss both sides. However, the reasons are not consistently relevant or sufficiently explained: the point about affluent people avoiding travel because of security concerns is unclear, and the discussion of battery stations does not explain how this affects the overall comparison. The conclusion also introduces the idea that people may not replace their driving skills, rather than clearly summing up the arguments. The response is 235 words, so it is 15 words below the required minimum; 18 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop each main point with a clear explanation and a specific, relevant example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting opposing views, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the other hand,” “Firstly,” and “Furthermore” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow: the first body paragraph moves from incidents to driver reliability and then charging stations without clearly connecting these points. Some transitions are also used mechanically, and references such as “this circumstance” and “this technique” do not make the intended idea clear. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless,” “autonomous vehicles,” “traffic congestion,” “charging stations,” and “sensors.” These choices show an effort to discuss the subject beyond basic terms. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice errors sometimes make the meaning difficult to interpret, as in “phenominally,” “sustanibility,” “reliablity,” and “underlying conditions.” Several combinations are also unnatural, such as “sudden incidents,” “sustain for the upper class,” and “sensors command.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully; using fewer precise expressions would communicate your ideas more effectively than ambitious but unclear wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a concession in “Although certain benefits exits” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “so it can be quite challenging.” However, errors are frequent across sentence structures and often make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “the disadvantages is,” “a driverless vehicles,” “a lot of reports shows,” and “this technique can never be replace.” There are also problems with sentence boundaries and punctuation, such as the comma after “results in” and the lower-case “although” after a full stop. Practise subject–verb agreement, articles, plural forms, and verb patterns, then proofread each sentence to ensure it is complete and correctly punctuated.
