Student answer (Band 6.0)

In upcoming technological world, all mode of transportation vehicles like cars, buses and lories will be driverless only passangers will able to travel inside this vehicles. Although this development entails certain drawbacks, i am persuaded that the advantages considerably surpass the disadvantages. My inclination is justified in ensuing write-ups with appropriate example.

To begin with, there are numerous benefits associated with futurestic driverless vehicles. The most pivotal one is that self driving vehicles take less time to cover long distance compare with human drivers. For instance, the automated car can avoid delay by efficient route planning and avoiding traffic. In addition

Furthermore, the automated vehicles will help elderly and disabled people travel more independently whithout relying on others. To illustrate, the elderly people who find driving difficult or people on wheelchair can travel conveniently without depending on driver or family member.

On the other hand, there is a flip side which can not be neglected. The first one is that automatic driving vehicles work with certain critial sensors and software, malfunction of this sensors will result in a accident or a passanger could also lose their life. To elaborate, an automatic car navigate route through a radar which is mounted on a car's body. malfunctioning of that radar due to a glitch or wrining issue will result in a incident on road which can de fatal to passanger. This mean that a human can not completely rely on automatic car.

To reiterate, the passanger will be only one travelling in automated vehicles in future. Although, there are chances of fatal accident due to malfunction or software glitch, i believe that self driving cars will reduce travelling time and helpful to elderly and disable person.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides with relevant points, including faster journeys, greater independence for older and disabled people, and the risk of sensor or software failure. The examples help make the discussion relevant. However, the benefits are not developed as fully as the safety concern: the claim that automated vehicles save time is asserted, but the route-planning example does not explain how this would reliably reduce journey times. The discussion also focuses mainly on cars rather than the full range of vehicles in the prompt. More explanation and a clearer comparison of the scale of the benefits and risks would make the argument more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure, moving from an introduction to advantages, a disadvantage, and a conclusion. Paragraphing generally helps the reader follow the main points, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “On the other hand” show the intended progression. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical or incomplete. “In addition” is left hanging at the end of the first benefits paragraph, and “My inclination is justified in ensuing write-ups” is an awkward signpost that does not clearly preview the argument. Some references, such as “this vehicles” and “this sensors,” are unclear or inaccurate. Group the benefits into a complete paragraph, connect each example explicitly to its claim, and use simpler, more natural transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “driverless vehicles,” “route planning,” “malfunction,” “software,” and “independently.” These choices allow you to discuss both practical benefits and safety risks. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “the most pivotal one” and “there is a flip side,” but some expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, including “futurestic,” “ensuing write-ups,” and “automated car can avoid delay.” Spelling errors such as “passangers,” “lories,” “whithout,” and “wrining” are noticeable and reduce precision. Aim for accurate, natural collocations rather than ornate wording, and proofread spelling carefully. A more consistent choice of terms for the vehicles and their passengers would also improve clarity.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex forms, including the concession in “Although this development entails certain drawbacks” and the conditional explanation of sensor failure. However, control is uneven, and errors occur in both sentence structure and basic grammar. For example, “all mode of transportation vehicles” needs plural agreement, while “the automated car can avoid delay” lacks an appropriate article or plural form. In “malfunction of this sensors will result in a accident,” the demonstrative, article, and noun forms are inaccurate. There are also sentence-boundary and punctuation problems, such as the unfinished “In addition” and inconsistent capitalisation of “i.” Practise accurate articles, agreement, and complete sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
