Student answer (Band 5.5)
Nowadays, technology is significantly impacts people's lives. In near future, transportation will be driverless. Vehicles will be fully function with the technology and the passengers will be the only humans inside these vehicles. Even though this has disadvantages like loss of many jobs, I believe advantages like easy to travel outweigh the disadvantages.
Main disadvantage of driverless vehicles is taxi drivers lose their jobs. Mostly, people use taxis when they do not want to drive. However, self-driving vehicles can be replace taxi drivers. For example, people will be use own driverless car insted of using taxi. These days, most of people are using taxi hailing apps such as Uber and Pickme. This industry can be totally destroy bacause of the self-driving vehicles. People who working on this industry will be unemployed.
The main advantage of driverless vehicles is that people can travel easily. Many people worried about driving vehicles after the work or at the morning bacause they are sleepy. There are many accident happened because of people got tired and they fall a sleep while driving. However, using driverless vehicles slove this problem entirely. Humans only need to set the destination and they can take a nap while traveling. For example, In China, many people are sleeping while they are traveling to the jobs in the public transport. These kind of people can travel their own vehicles. Furthermore, people can travel use without taxi when they are went to special event. Also parents can send children to schools without parents are in these vehicles. This advantages are more significant than disadvantages because people can be find new jobs and there will many opportunities arround technology.
In conclusion, in the future, all vehicles will be self-driving vehicles. There will be many job losses because of this. Nevertheless, I believe advantages like easy to travel outweigh the disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You answer the question directly and maintain a clear view that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. The response also addresses both sides: job losses are illustrated through taxi drivers and ride-hailing services, while easier travel is linked to tired commuters, parents, and people attending events. These are relevant points, but some are more fully explained than others. The employment argument is developed with a clear consequence—workers may become unemployed—whereas the benefits for parents and event-goers are mentioned briefly without explaining their impact. The final claim that people can find new jobs and that technology will create opportunities is also asserted rather than supported. Develop one or two benefits with specific reasoning or a concrete example to make the comparison more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your position, separate body paragraphs discuss disadvantages and advantages, and the conclusion restates your view. This makes the line of argument easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “However,” “For example,” and “Furthermore” to connect points. At times, though, the connections feel mechanical or the references are unclear. For instance, “These kind of people” does not clearly identify which group you mean, and the sequence from sleeping commuters to special events and then parents shifts between examples without showing how each supports the main advantage. Use clearer referencing and group related examples, with a brief explanation linking each one to easier or safer travel.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for discussing the topic, and you use relevant terms such as “self-driving vehicles,” “taxi hailing apps,” “unemployed,” and “destination.” There are also attempts at more specific language, including “technology” and “public transport.” However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors reduce precision, as in “easy to travel,” “fully function,” “slove,” and “arround.” Some phrases are also awkward or repetitive, particularly repeated references to “driverless vehicles” and “vehicles.” Aim for more natural topic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe the benefit as “greater convenience” and say that vehicles “operate autonomously.” More precise vocabulary would help express your ideas without changing their meaning.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Even though this has disadvantages…” and a conditional-style explanation of what passengers can do while travelling. The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. Examples include “technology is significantly impacts,” “people will be use,” and “There are many accident happened,” which show problems with verb forms and agreement. There are also errors in sentence construction, such as “Also parents can send children to schools without parents are in these vehicles.” Review subject–verb agreement, articles and plurals, and the forms used after modal verbs. Practising accurate versions of your existing sentence patterns will help you retain variety while making the argument easier to read.
