Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the forseable future all cars, buses and trucks will be automated. The only individuals who travelling insde these vehicles will be commuters. This essay will argue that advantages outweigh the disadvantages. People can easly sleep and they can do their work in their laptops are the main advantages. The jobs of driver would be lost and have a chance of accidents are the disadvantages.

Nowadays, the world has becomes a global village bcause people have more technology and software system. People busy in their routine task , office work they don't have ample time to drive as they feel tired after their work they prefer to travel on the automated vehicle. It is very convenient and comfortable for long drive. Futhurmore, the large companies use trucks for transport of raw material and finished good it is beared a high cost of driver other than vehicle cost. Although, if they will adopt the driverless vehicle, their cost of driver will be equal to zero except the intial cost they would be spend on installing a software. Tesla is a prime example of driverless vehicles, most people in the world are buying that vehicle becuase it have more feature than other bands.

People who drive vehicles would lost their jobs, they would have to move other jobs. the chance of accident would be increase as there is a minor issue in the software of vehicles. these arguments did not outweigh the advantage. For instance, The large companies will stronger benefits and could reduce a significant cost of product they don't have to extra pay, they to only pay when work would be done.

In conclusion, it would be beneficial for the commuter to travel without driver and make their journey comfortable. this advantage outweigh the disadvantages

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You answer the question directly and maintain a clear position that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. Relevant benefits include passengers being able to rest or work and companies reducing driver costs; you also acknowledge job losses and the possibility of software-related accidents. These points address both sides of the task. However, some ideas are more fully explained than others: the business-cost argument receives several sentences, while the effects of job losses and accident risks are only briefly stated. The Tesla example is named but does not clearly demonstrate that the vehicles are driverless or support the comparison. Develop each disadvantage and explain more precisely why the benefits outweigh it.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages and a conclusion. The reader can follow the main position, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Although” and “For instance” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. The first body paragraph moves from tired commuters to company costs and then Tesla without a clear transition, while “Although” does not introduce a complete contrast. Some references, such as “these arguments,” are also vague. Organise each paragraph around one main point, use linking words according to their precise meaning, and make the relationship between examples and claims explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “automated,” “software,” “raw material,” “driverless vehicle” and “cost,” which helps communicate the main ideas. There is also an attempt to use more formal expressions such as “global village” and “prime example.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling errors make parts less clear, for example “the jobs of driver,” “it is beared a high cost,” and “other bands” where the intended meaning appears to be vehicle brands. Repetition of “cost,” “vehicle” and “driver” also restricts flexibility. Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea about companies adopting driverless vehicles and a contrast introduced with “Although.” The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in verb forms, agreement, articles and sentence construction occur in several places. For example, “people who travelling” needs a finite verb, “the world has becomes” has an incorrect participle, and “the chance of accident would be increase” has an incorrect verb form. Some sentences also join clauses awkwardly, as in the opening list of advantages and disadvantages. Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns; clearer, controlled sentences will make your reasoning easier to follow.
