Student answer (Band 5.5)

Driverless transportation will be an interesting in comming time and individulas will not need to worry about traffic and routes, just sit in the vehicle give instructions and do whatever like to do. Its seems me beneficial to vast numbers of users but have some reservations just like unemployments of drivers and cyber attack.

It will be beneficial to majority of users just like me, I am commuting to office and during this time need to attend some inmortant calls and present some information which is too difficult for me but if i have driveless car i just to sit in car and give direction to my vehicle, i can receive calls and give presentation without worry about focus on road. Another advantage will be to transportation companies just mostly time worker stop work due to unpaid salaries or did not get promotions, in these situation driverless vehicles will be more benefical to companies not to depend on derivers striks.

It have some disadvantages too, just like if companies get driverless vehicles then drivers will loss their jobs. Than they become burden on government aid or benefits. It will rise unemployement in country. Cyber attacks will be a significant issue becasue mostly driverless vehicle will work on internet and it the system of that company hacked then they will loss full access on their vehicles. In recent time, i saw a vedio on tiktok one Tasla driverless car picked a passenger then took this passenger to police station becasue vehicle system run a facial recognition and found pessenger name in criminal data list. Later Tasla company gave brife on this insident their vehicle hacked.

In my point of view, driverless vehicle good to us in a condition, if governments can impose laws and ristice companies to look after drivers unemployemet matters and make stric rules and regulations for the industies who manufacturing these vehciles.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both sides of the question and give a clear, if qualified, view: driverless vehicles are beneficial provided governments regulate the industry and address driver unemployment. Your commuting example explains how a driverless car could let you take calls and give presentations, while the job-loss and cyberattack points are relevant disadvantages. However, the comparison of which side outweighs the other is not fully developed. The claim that companies would avoid disruption from driver strikes is brief, and the TikTok story is presented as evidence of hacking without enough explanation or verification. To strengthen the response, weigh the scale and likelihood of the benefits against the risks, and develop your examples more clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on benefits, one on disadvantages, and a concluding position. This makes the main line of argument understandable. You also use basic linking expressions such as “Another advantage,” “It have some disadvantages too,” and “In my point of view” to signal shifts. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt: the discussion moves from personal convenience to company staffing, then to unemployment and cyberattacks without consistently showing how each point supports the overall comparison. Some references, such as “this situation” and “this passenger,” are not fully clear. Use more precise transitions and organise each paragraph around a main claim followed by explanation and evidence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “driverless vehicles,” “unemployement,” “cyber attacks,” “facial recognition,” and “criminal data list.” There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “unpaid salaries” and “government aid.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause: “comming,” “derivers,” “striks,” and “brife” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, including “beneficial to vast numbers of users” and “give direction to my vehicle.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully; more precise wording will make your argument easier to follow without needing a much wider vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if companies get driverless vehicles then drivers will loss their jobs” and a longer explanation of the cyberattack risk. The main ideas are generally recoverable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “Its seems me beneficial” has an incorrect subject and verb pattern, while “It have some disadvantages” shows subject–verb disagreement. In “if i have driveless car i just to sit in car,” the conditional clause and main clause are incomplete or missing necessary verb forms and articles. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need more consistent control. Practise complete clauses, agreement, articles, and punctuation, then proofread longer sentences for missing verbs.
