Student answer (Band 5.5)

The development of diverless vehicles is expexted to become increasingly common in the future. Although, this technology has some disadvantages but i believe that the advantages outweigh the drawbacks. It improves road safety and make travelling convenient.

In recent years selfdriven automobiles are increasingly popular. While there are some drawbacks associated with this development , in my opinion the advantages are far more significant. They improves road safety and prevent drivers from accidents. Drivers sometimes get sleepy in the midnight and causes accidents. Furthermore, they offers conveniance. Individuals get tired by driving but these automobiles are machine oriented they are availabe 24/7 for people. For instance, drivers sometimes not available due to their personal matters. In this case this selfdriven vehicles are very helpful. Moreover, it help in reaching the destination very quickly. For example, some orders should be delivered on time because it often ruined.

Although, this development has also some disadvatages. It can cause frustation among residents because it is machine oriented and can't understand human emotions. In addition, it also increasing employmen. It take over human jobs. it can also cause accidents because it is google navigated and sometimes the routes are damaged. For instance, if someone want to change its destination so it would not help them.

In conclusion, selfdriven vechiles are becoming increasingly common and it is improving road safety and safe individuals time , although it has also little amount of disadvantages but i believe the the merits outweigh. If the disadvatages fix so it would be very beneficial for people.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You answer the question directly and maintain a clear view that the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. Relevant advantages include improved road safety, convenience for tired people, and faster delivery; you also acknowledge job losses and possible accidents. This covers both sides of the task. However, some points are not fully explained or are unclear: for example, “it often ruined” does not explain what is ruined when deliveries are late, and the example about changing a destination does not clearly show why driverless vehicles are disadvantageous. Develop each main point with a clear cause-and-effect explanation and a more specific example. Your conclusion repeats your position, but “if the disadvantages fix” leaves the final judgement unclear.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph mainly about advantages, a paragraph about disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “Moreover,” and “In addition” help signal the sequence of points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because ideas are added without clear connections. For instance, the point about timely orders is not clearly linked to the claim that driverless vehicles reach destinations quickly. Some transitions are also mechanical, and the repeated references to “this development” and “these automobiles” are not always precise. Organise each body paragraph around one clear central idea, then explain and illustrate it before moving to the next point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “road safety,” “drawbacks,” “destination,” and “employment,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “diverless,” “conveniance,” “disadvatages,” and “frustation.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “machine oriented,” “google navigated,” and “it often ruined” do not communicate the intended ideas clearly. Aim to learn accurate collocations for this topic, such as “automated vehicles,” “reduce the risk of collisions,” and “replace driving jobs.” Proofread spelling carefully and choose words that express the exact relationship you mean.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a concession in “Although this technology has some disadvantages…” and a conditional example beginning “if someone want to change its destination.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, verb forms, sentence construction, and punctuation sometimes make ideas harder to follow. Examples include “They improves,” “it help,” “it also increasing,” and “Drivers sometimes get sleepy … and causes accidents.” The opening also combines “Although” with “but,” creating a faulty structure. Practise checking that subjects and verbs agree, and build clear sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed supporting clause. More accurate control of these patterns would make your arguments easier to understand.
