Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is predictable that driver will be no longer able to drive cars, buses and trucks in the future. The only individuals travelling in these vehicles will be passengers. From my parspective, disadvantages outweight the advantages beacuse unemplyment ratio will be incresed in the future and countrys economy will be droped as well.

To begin with, if cars, buses and trucks will become driverless, percentage of unemployment will be significantly increased. To illustrate, there are lots of people who does not have proper education which cause them to suffer financially. They try to maintain their income source by driving tranports such as cars, buses and trucks. If driving cars repalced into driverless, it will cause individuals significantly and ratio of unemployment will be increase rapidly in the country.

However, if people no more able to drive cars or lose their income source, country's will be weak economically. For example, a nation are able to enhance their country's economy through the earning individual earns and the people contributes some of their earning for the development of the country. The more people are able to earn, the more they will be able to provide financial support to the nartion. That is how, a country become financially strong and able to compete with other nations.

In conclusion, being employment plays a crucial role in country's development and maintaining peoples well being as well. If unemployment ratio increase, people in the nation will face many difficulties to maintain their lives. Otherwise, countrys economy will be droped day by day.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you believe the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, and you give two related reasons—job losses among drivers and possible harm to the economy. The examples about people relying on driving for income and contributing earnings to national development are relevant. However, the response addresses the question only partially because it does not explain any advantages of driverless vehicles or directly weigh them against the disadvantages. The economic point also largely repeats the employment argument, and the claim that the economy will weaken needs clearer explanation or evidence. To strengthen the response, acknowledge a benefit such as fewer accidents, then explain why your concerns are more significant.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Paragraphs are generally focused on employment and the economy, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help show the intended stages of the argument. However, progression between ideas is not always clear: the second body paragraph begins with “However,” although it continues the disadvantages rather than presenting a contrast. The link between individual earnings and national economic strength is also asserted rather than developed. Some references, such as “That is how,” feel abrupt, and repeated references to unemployment and economic weakness make the argument circular. Use clearer transitions and develop each point in a distinct sequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “driverless,” “unemployment,” “income source,” “financially strong,” and “development.” This gives the reader a basic understanding of your argument. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “parspective,” “outweight,” “unemplyment,” “tranports,” and “nartion.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “percentage of unemployment” and “country’s economy will be dropped.” Repetition of “people,” “country,” and “earn” further limits variety. Aim to learn accurate topic collocations and use them consistently; for example, “unemployment rate,” “lose their livelihoods,” and “economic growth” would express your ideas more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if cars, buses and trucks will become driverless” and a comparative pattern in “The more people are able to earn, the more they will be able to provide.” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some relationships difficult to follow. Examples include “people who does not have,” “a nation are able,” and “If driving cars repalced into driverless,” which show problems with agreement and sentence construction. Verb forms and articles are also inconsistent, as in “a country become financially strong.” Practise forming accurate conditional clauses and checking subject–verb agreement, verb patterns, and sentence boundaries before adding complexity.
