Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You state a clear overall view in the introduction and conclusion: driverless vehicles will be useful and their advantages outweigh their disadvantages. You also give relevant benefits, including saving time and money, improving comfort, and reducing fuel use. However, the response only partially addresses the comparison in the question: it develops advantages but does not explain any disadvantages or why the benefits outweigh them. Several claims are also under-developed or unclear, such as the link between driverless transport and people becoming “financially independent,” or how savings would support the national economy. To strengthen the response, discuss at least one realistic drawback, then explain why your chosen side remains stronger, using specific examples and clearer reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also attempt to connect ideas with phrases such as “For instance,” “as a result” and “On the other hand.” However, there is no clear progression from one main point to the next: both body paragraphs mainly repeat benefits, and “On the other hand” suggests a contrast that does not follow. Linking expressions are often overused or placed awkwardly, while references such as “this vehicles” and “it” are not always clear. Organise each body paragraph around one distinct point, explain it in sequence, and use fewer, more accurate transitions. This would make the argument easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless,” “public transportation,” “comfortable,” “national economy” and “public healthcare system.” This is enough to communicate the general subject, but the range is limited and several spelling, word-choice and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to interpret. Examples include “technolocal development,” “people traveling tend to be more effective,” and “play a major impact.” Some expressions are repeated, particularly “save money” and “driverless cars and buses.” Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. For example, explain what becomes more efficient, rather than describing travellers themselves as “effective,” and use natural collocations when discussing effects on society.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because,” “so that” and “when.” However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. Errors include missing or incorrect articles and plurals (“the only travelling inside these vehicles”), subject–verb agreement (“it also contribute”), and verb forms (“they may be able travel”). Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in “in addition” and “they may be able travel” after full stops. These errors recur and sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a correctly formed subordinate clause, then check agreement, articles, verb patterns and punctuation.
