Student answer (Band 6.0)
In today’s world safe driving requires more attention. Nowadays, it is often argued that in the coming years all types of vehicles will be driverless. Although this development has some disadvantages. I believe its advantages outweigh them.
To begin with, one of the major advantages of this idea is that this is will reduce the numbers of road accidents happens on every other day. This is because human drivers sometimes may not give proper attention to their driving because of tiredness or lack of sleep. In further, families can easily relax during their journey instead of focusing or giving continuous warning to the driver. As a result, families can reach to their desire destinations on time, and it many people may walk or travel more safely.
One the other hand, the main disadvantage of this development is that many drivers may lose their jobs since driving is their only source of income and they exclusively rely on this to cover their monthly household, medical or basic needs expenses. For instance: if a person is only doing driver job from 9-5 and suddenly lose the job it will affect his entire family. Consequently, many of them face difficulties in life which will cause them anxiety or worries and they may struggle to give support to their families.
After considering both of the views, I believe that although driverless vehicles may lead to job losses and technical problems, I believe that their benefits, particularly improved road safety and greater convenience, outweigh these disadvantages.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you believe the benefits of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages, and you address both sides of the question. The discussion of reduced accidents is relevant, with tiredness and lack of sleep offered as reasons human drivers may be unsafe. You also explain the potential impact of job losses on drivers’ families. However, these points are not developed equally: the safety argument would benefit from a specific example or explanation of how automated systems prevent accidents, while the employment point is more detailed but focuses mainly on hardship. The conclusion mentions technical problems, but this disadvantage has not been discussed in the body. Develop the benefits and ensure every point in the conclusion is supported earlier.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a concluding position. Linking phrases such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “After considering both of the views” help signal the stages of the argument. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “In further” does not clearly introduce the next point, and “As a result” links family relaxation to reaching destinations on time without explaining the relationship. The final paragraph also repeats the view already stated in the introduction. Use more precise links between cause and effect, and develop a clearer progression within each body paragraph rather than relying mainly on signposting phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “road accidents,” “driverless vehicles,” “source of income,” and “road safety,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “exclusively rely” and “technical problems.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “desire destinations,” “give continuous warning,” and “monthly household, medical or basic needs expenses.” Some repetition of “families,” “drivers,” and “disadvantages” also limits flexibility. Aim for more natural combinations and precise wording, such as “reach their destinations,” “warn the driver,” and “cover household and medical expenses.” Proofread spacing and punctuation around words as well.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concession in “Although this development has some disadvantages” and a conditional example beginning “if a person is only doing driver job.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. The opening “Although this development has some disadvantages” is a fragment and should be joined to the following sentence. Other examples include “this is will reduce,” “the numbers of road accidents happens,” and “One the other hand.” There are also errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction in “a person is only doing driver job” and “it many people may walk.” Work on complete sentence formation, subject–verb agreement, and checking verb forms; these improvements would make your varied sentence attempts more controlled.
