Student answer (Band 5.5)

Well the technology in this world is growing very fast and self driven are one of the latest tecnology in modren world. It is predicted that in coming time all the vehicles would be driverless .

Yes , In my opinion this advancement in technology would definitely put a great positive impact on our lives in future.

The biggest advantage of these self driven cars would be their safety. As they have lots of sensors built in them so they can be driven with more precise and accuracy . While in present when we drive the car , a minor mistake could risk our life in danger . So the biggest positive asspect that we will be more safe in driverless cars then a human driver car.

Another benifit of this particular tech is saving money. You do not have to hire the drivers to drive the cars .

Furthermore it would be helpful for our health. For instance now whenever we have to go anywhere and if we drive ourself so we get tired at reaching our destination . But in future this problem will be solved and we would not get tired of traveling. So this is also good for our health.

The disadvantage will be that we can not enjoy the rdie in driverless cars .IN current era most of people drive just for enjoyment and to get relief. While in self driven cars we will not have the feel of enjoyment to dive the car.

Every new thing in this world have some pros and cons . But driverless cars would be a greate revoultion in the world. In my view the self driven cars should have both options to dive or to driven itself.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You answer the question directly, state a clear view that the benefits are greater, and give relevant reasons: safety, reduced need to hire drivers, and less travel fatigue. The safety point is supported by the contrast between sensors and human mistakes, while the final suggestion that vehicles should offer both manual and automatic modes adds a relevant qualification. However, the advantages are not developed equally: saving money is asserted briefly, and the health point mainly describes tiredness rather than explaining broader effects. The disadvantage—losing the enjoyment of driving—is relevant but receives little explanation or support. Develop each point with a clearer explanation or example, and compare the importance of the benefits and drawback more explicitly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and a disadvantage, and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. You also use basic linking expressions such as “Furthermore,” “For instance,” and “But” to show addition, example, and contrast. At times, however, connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “So this is also good for our health” repeats the preceding point without extending it, and the conclusion moves quickly from general comments about pros and cons to a recommendation about manual controls. Use clearer links between each reason and your overall judgement, and make the conclusion synthesise the comparison rather than introduce a new point abruptly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “driverless,” “sensors,” “safety,” and “advantages” and “disadvantage.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “great positive impact” and “precise and accuracy,” but some combinations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits clarity and control. Spelling errors are noticeable in words such as “tecnology,” “modren,” “benifit,” and “revoultion,” and some wording is repetitive, particularly “self driven” and “driverless cars.” Build a more accurate range of collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for safety, cost, and passenger convenience would help you express the argument with greater flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “As they have lots of sensors” and a conditional idea in “if we drive ourself.” The overall meaning is generally understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation reduce accuracy. For example, “Every new thing in this world have” needs subject–verb agreement, while “we would not get tired of traveling” follows an inconsistent shift from the present-tense example to the future claim. Several sentences also run together or lack spaces after full stops, as in the opening paragraph. Practise checking agreement and tense consistency, and use full stops to separate complete ideas. Aim for accurate complex sentences rather than adding complexity at the expense of control.
