Student answer (Band 4.5)
If we say that in the future all the cars, buses and trucks will be driverless so it is not an advantage for the public becausemany people use public transport for travelling.Public transport is an advantage for the poor people and for those people who do not afford their personal vehicles.Public transport is very useful for the public for travelling and it is very helpfull in reducing the pollution.Pollution is something else which affects badly the health. there are many type of pollution, these are air pollution noise pollution and the water pollution. The disadvantage of the personal vehicals are given below.Personal vehicles help to increase the pollution. If the toxic substance are present in the water so it is water pollution. If these are present in the air so it is called the air pollution. When the factories run it through their waste in the open places so it increase the percentage of the land pollution. These types of pollution can cause serious diseases such asathma ,lungs cancer or the respiratory disease. These diseases affects the normal functioning of the body there are many other disease such as failure of the nervous system due to the noise pollution. So driverless is the disadvantage because it affects the normal functioning of the body.It increase the bad affects of the personal vehicles. If personal vehicles are increased so it increased the the risks of the traffic jam.Needy people are not able to buy their personal vehicles because it is very difficult for themselves due to their finencial problems. So it public drivers and transport is very important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You express a negative view of driverless vehicles and give related concerns, including pollution, health effects, traffic congestion, and affordability. However, the response only minimally answers the central comparison: it does not clearly explain how driverless technology itself causes these problems, nor weigh its disadvantages against possible advantages such as fewer crashes or improved access for passengers. Much of the discussion explains types of pollution rather than evaluating driverless transport, and the point about public transport being important for poorer people is not connected clearly to whether vehicles will be driverless. To strengthen the response, state your position directly in the introduction and develop two or three relevant reasons with specific explanations or examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5
There is a discernible sequence from public transport to pollution, health, and affordability, and phrases such as “because” and “so” attempt to show relationships between ideas. However, the response is presented as one continuous paragraph, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the main argument from supporting details. Several points repeat or shift abruptly: the explanation of water, air, and land pollution interrupts the discussion of driverless vehicles, while “these diseases” and “it” do not always refer clearly to a specific idea. Use separate paragraphs for your position, main disadvantages, and conclusion. Organise each paragraph around one relevant point, and use clear referencing and linking rather than repeatedly relying on “so.”
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “public transport,” “pollution,” “traffic jam,” and “respiratory disease,” which helps communicate the general subject. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “pollution,” “personal vehicles,” and “disadvantage.” Some choices are imprecise or unnatural, such as “the bad affects” and “the percentage of the land pollution,” and spelling errors including “vehicals,” “helpfull,” and “finencial” reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise language connected to the question, such as terms for road safety, accessibility, and transport efficiency. Check spelling and collocations, and avoid using technical pollution examples unless they directly support your argument about driverless vehicles.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts to connect ideas using clauses, for example, “because many people use public transport,” and includes some longer sentences. However, sentence structures are mostly simple or joined in ways that create run-ons, and errors in agreement, articles, plurals, and verb forms are frequent. Examples include “there are many type,” “these diseases affects,” and “it increased the the risks.” Punctuation and capitalisation also make sentence boundaries difficult to follow, as in “health. there are many type of pollution.” Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then add controlled complex structures. Check that subjects and verbs agree, use consistent verb forms, and punctuate each sentence clearly.
