Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is said that all types of vehicles will become driverless in the near future. It will carry only passengers inside it. Although, i believe that its a positive thing but there are some disadvantages as well.
On the one hand, as we see technology evolves everyday. Everyother day we hear about some unique inventions that people have never thought about it. In the same way, driverless cars have been invented recently. These cars are connected with GPS, have their own sensors to detect nearby dangers and carry passengers in them without any driver. Well, from my point of view its a great invention and its has alot of advantages because people can now go from one location to another using these cars by calling them through specialized application in mobilephones. For example, in china a person can book a driverless car through internet by selecting the start and end location. So its convenient and time efficient for those who can't go outside home to book a taxi. Its also helpful for people who are travelling alone especially females in taxis.because many people can feel insecure with physical drivers sitting alone in their cars.
On the other hand, there are demerits or disadvantages of this technology as well Firstly, because without driver many people fear of having an accident as they don't have much beleif on such new technology. Secondly, many people are not able to book a driverless taxi through internet and pay them fare online. Moreover, many people have concerns about if technical fault appears in the middle of the journey then whom to call and how to deal with the situation. Therefore, a proper feasibility report must be established before making it common through out the world.
Overall, it can be seen that although there are many advantages of this new technology but there are some disadvantages and i believe that in the future it would a great deal if implemented in almost all the cities around the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both sides of the question and give a clear overall view that driverless vehicles are beneficial, while acknowledging concerns about accidents, online access and technical faults. The examples about booking a vehicle in China and women feeling safer when travelling alone make the discussion relevant. However, the advantages are developed more fully than the disadvantages, and the final paragraph does not clearly weigh them against each other. The claim that the technology would be a “great deal” if widely implemented is also not fully explained. To strengthen the response, explain why the benefits outweigh the risks, and develop one or two disadvantages with specific consequences and possible safeguards.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs signposted by “On the one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. Ideas generally progress in a sensible order, and examples are placed alongside the points they support. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Moreover,” while the opening sequence about technology evolving and inventions is not tightly connected to the main argument. Some references, such as “it” in the introduction, are unclear. Use more varied transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “sensors,” “technical fault,” “feasibility report,” and “time efficient.” There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “demerits” and “specialized application.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural: “book them through internet,” “pay them fare online,” and “a great deal” do not express the intended meanings precisely. Spelling and word formation also need attention, including “beleif,” “alot,” and “mobilephones.” These issues do not prevent understanding, but they limit precision. Build a more reliable range of collocations for discussing safety, accessibility and implementation, and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although, i believe…” and conditional phrasing in “if technical fault appears.” Most of the argument remains understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles and punctuation recur. For example, “It will carry only passengers inside it” has unclear agreement and reference, while “its has alot of advantages” contains an incorrect verb form. The opening “Although” clause is not correctly joined to the main clause, and several sentences run together, as in “taxis.because.” Capitalisation of “I” is also inconsistent. Practise forming complete complex sentences and proofread for agreement, articles and sentence boundaries.
