Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the future , all cars , buses, trucks , may become driverless, meaning people will travel only as passangers , although this developement could lead to some problems , I beleive that its advantages outweights its disadvantages.

One major advantage of driverless vehicles is that it could reduce the number of car accidents. Many road accidents happen because of human's mistakes, such as lack of sleep, tiredness and anxiety. Autonomous vehicles can use computer system to detect any danger possible and tackle the problem before it happens , which reacts more rapidly than humans. As a result roads will be safer.

Another benifit, is that people could use their traveling time with more productivity , they could read the books they enjoy, draw and practice lots of their hobbies without being concerned about driving . As a result the will have time for themselves , especially for people who travel long distances.

However there are some disadvantages to consider .Firstly, technical problems or failures could cause serious accidents.therfore it can threaten passengers' lifes and safety.

Moreover, people could loose their jobs , individuals who work as drivers may not find a job, which could increase unemployement .

Nevertheless, I believe these disadvantaged can be reduced through strict safety regulations, regular technichal inspections and training programmes that help drivers find a good carrer .

In conclusion, despite the risk of driverless vehicles , technical problems failures or the incresing of unemployement , the advantages of driverless vehicles outweight the disadvantages because they could reduce humans erros and imrpove their life .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction—advantages outweigh disadvantages—and remains consistent in the conclusion. You address both sides with relevant points: fewer accidents and more productive travel time are weighed against technical failures and job losses. The accident-prevention point is supported with examples of human causes and how automated systems might respond, which helps explain its relevance. However, the productivity benefit and the consequences of unemployment are less fully developed; for example, you mention hobbies and job loss but do not explain their wider effects or provide a specific illustration. To strengthen the response, extend these points with a clear explanation or example and make the comparison between the benefits and risks more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking expressions such as “As a result,” “However,” “Moreover,” and “Nevertheless” help signal the movement between ideas. This gives the reader a generally clear progression. At times, though, connections feel mechanical or the reference is unclear: “these disadvantaged” does not clearly refer to the risks just discussed, and the final sentence compresses several points into an awkward list. Some sentences also run together, particularly in the opening and the paragraph on travel time. Use clearer sentence boundaries and refer back to ideas precisely; vary transitions by showing the relationship between claims rather than simply adding a connector.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “driverless vehicles,” “Autonomous vehicles,” “technical problems,” “safety regulations,” and “unemployment,” so the main ideas are understandable. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “regular technical inspections.” However, spelling errors and inaccurate word forms are noticeable, including “passangers,” “developement,” “benifit,” “unemployement,” and “imrpove.” Some expressions are also imprecise or unnatural, such as “danger possible,” “the increasing of unemployment,” and “find a good career.” These issues limit the precision and fluency of the vocabulary. Proofread spelling carefully and learn common collocations for discussing safety, employment, and technology.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a relative clause in “individuals who work as drivers” and a conditional idea about technical failures causing accidents. The main argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “its advantages outweights” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the will have time” is missing a pronoun. The opening sentence joins several clauses with commas, and “Another benefit, is that…” uses punctuation incorrectly. There are also problems with articles and plural forms, as in “use computer system” and “human's mistakes.” Aim for more controlled sentence boundaries and check agreement, articles, and pronouns. Building accurate complex sentences will help you express the relationships between ideas more clearly.
