Student answer (Band 5.5)

With the advantagement of technology, it is predicted that autonomous vehicles will be increasingly common in the future, allowing people to travel without need of human drivers. Although this devlopment could leads to road safety and convience, I believe that disadvantage outweigh advantages because it leads to risk of technical error and safety concern.

On the one hand, driverless vehicles offer sevral significant benefits. driverless vehicles control the accidents situation that cause by human. moreover, this journey will be more convienent and comfort. For exmple, this vehicale more independence for elderly people and disable people for their journey.

On the other hand, I believe that there are more disadvantages using driverless vehicales. Firstly, so many people loss their job because of this technology they cannot able to find the jobs in their fields. Furthermore, technicale failures leads to major accidents sometime and that is more risky for passengers.Whereas also risk of cyber attacks and security problem, while technology hacked by hacker they can handle cars and trucks. In addition, some time technology can not find the glitch in that vehicle on it can stop in middle of the way, so it can be lead a traffic problem. For examplify, if someone hack the car it difficult to control by human it can lead to major accident in that time.

To conclude, driverless cars and trucks are not convient for people and also risk of their lives. While people looks for their safety also driers loss their jobs due to advance technology.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the question and state a clear position: you believe the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. The essay gives relevant reasons on both sides, including greater independence for older and disabled passengers, job losses, technical failures, cyberattacks and traffic disruption. However, these points are not developed equally. The benefits are mentioned briefly, and the example about independence is not explained; the disadvantages receive more attention but several claims are asserted rather than supported with a clear explanation or specific example. The final paragraph restates your view, though its claim that driverless vehicles are “not convenient” does not fully reflect the benefits you acknowledged. Develop fewer points in more detail and make the conclusion accurately summarise your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. This makes your main line of argument easy to identify. You also use signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” “Firstly,” and “To conclude.” However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “Whereas also risk of cyber attacks” does not form a clear link to the preceding sentence, and the sequence of technical failure, hacking and traffic problems would benefit from clearer explanation of how each point relates. Some sentences run together, particularly around “passengers.Whereas,” which interrupts the flow. Use complete sentences and clearer referencing to create smoother progression between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “autonomous vehicles,” “technical failures,” “cyber attacks,” and “security problem.” These choices show awareness of the subject, but the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form and collocation are noticeable enough to sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “advantagement,” “convienent,” “vehicale,” and “technicale”; “control the accidents situation” is also an unclear phrase. Some expressions, such as “handle cars and trucks,” do not precisely describe the risk of a hacker taking control. Build a reliable set of topic-specific phrases and check spelling and natural word combinations. More precise wording will help you express your ideas without changing their meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple sentences and attempts at more complex structures, including “Although this development…” and “because it leads to…,” so there is some variety. However, errors in verb forms, sentence construction, articles and agreement recur. For instance, “this development could leads” should use the base verb after “could,” while “that cause by human” needs a passive construction. The sentence beginning “Firstly, so many people loss their job because…” combines clauses without a clear grammatical structure, and “it can be lead” is also incorrectly formed. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, as in “passengers.Whereas.” Practise building accurate complete sentences first, then extend them with subordinate clauses; this will make your argument easier to follow.
