Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the future, all road vehicles will be controlled by computers instead of human drivers. Although this development could create some problems, I believe that it's advantages outweigh it's disadvnatages because driverless vehicles will make roads more safer and make travelling convenient.
Firstly, driverless vehicles could ruduce the number of road accidents caused by human mistakes such as tiredness, over speeding and using phone while driving. This can lead to dangerous situation. In contrast, autonomous cars can use softwares and sensors to detect the traffic system. This could help prevent accident and make road safer for passengers and other users. For example, a driverless car can travell long distance at night without any distractions, which can greately reduce the risk of serious accident. as a result there would be fewer deaths and injuries in the roads. In addition, using driverless vehicles can benefit both pasengers and companies. passengers willl no longer need to concentrate on driving, so they can work, study and rest during the journey. one the other hand, companies will also save money, because they will not need to pay drivers, and this can make transport more cheaper.
secondly,Driverless vehicles may also have some disadvantages. one major concern is that techenical problems which could cause serious accident . Another issue is that some drivers may lose their jobs. This could lead to financial difficulties for their families. However ibelieve that this dis advantages can be manged over time by taking some serious steaps.
In conclusion, Although, driverless cars has some drawbacks, I believe that the advantage of driverless vehicles are greater than the disadvantages. If techenology could develop and regulate properly, this could make transport more convenient and cheaper.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and the conclusion restates this view. You address both sides, giving relevant benefits such as fewer accidents and passengers being able to work or rest, alongside technical failures and job losses. The accident example helps make one point concrete. However, some ideas are less fully developed than others: the claim that companies will save money is asserted without explaining how this affects passengers or transport, and the disadvantages receive only brief treatment. The final suggestion that technology should be “develop[ed] and regulate[d] properly” is also vague. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each main point and support the comparison between benefits and drawbacks more explicitly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph focused mainly on benefits, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “Firstly,” “In addition,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” makes the direction easy to follow. The main weakness is that the first body paragraph combines several distinct benefits—road safety, passenger convenience, and company savings—so the progression becomes crowded. Some links are also awkward or unclear, particularly “one the other hand,” which does not clearly contrast the passenger and company benefits, and “This can lead to dangerous situation,” whose reference is not precise. Group related points into clearer stages and use linking phrases to show the exact relationship between ideas rather than relying mainly on sequence markers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “autonomous cars,” “sensors,” “road accidents,” and “financial difficulties,” which allows you to discuss both safety and employment. There is also some attempt to use more specific language, such as “human mistakes” and “technical problems.” However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable and sometimes distract the reader: examples include “ruduce,” “travell,” “greately,” “techenical,” and “manged.” Several collocations or forms are also unnatural, such as “make roads more safer,” “detect the traffic system,” and “transport more cheaper.” Aim to check spelling carefully and learn common combinations such as “detect traffic conditions,” “reduce the risk of accidents,” and “make transport cheaper.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex structures, including a concession in “Although this development could create some problems” and a conditional idea in the conclusion. Most of the argument remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “driverless cars has” has subject–verb disagreement, while “a dangerous situation” needs an article and “fewer deaths and injuries in the roads” has an incorrect preposition. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “serious accident . Another issue” and the lower-case starts after full stops. The conditional “If technology could develop and regulate properly” is not formed clearly. Review agreement, articles, prepositions, and sentence punctuation, then check each sentence for a complete and logically connected structure.
