Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future all cars, buses and trucks will be driverless. The only individuals travelling inside these vehicles will be passengers. it can creates many challenges ,However i think the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages. because it decreases accident and make journy efficient.
On the one hand, major car accidents prevent by human errors. main reason for that is people break rules and regulations, drive over speed and use mobile phones when they drive. Driverless vehicles use of technological advancement , special softwares and sensors which are follow traffic rules. Therefore, it decrease rate of accident and provide roads safety for customers and pedesterians. Furthermore, its is advantegous for elderly people and disable people who cannot drive and travel independently without depending on others.
On the other hand, self-drive vehicles can create difficulties for passengers. in some cases any a technical problem in softwares create accidents and put individuals life in the risk. In some cases of a crowded traffic and the environment changes like in raiin, softwares and sensor can not work properly and create dangerous accidents. Moreover, self-drive vehicles can creat financial problems for many families who work as a truck, bus and taxi drivers. However, the goverment should provide skill training programs for them.
In canclusion, Driverless vehicles can create a many challenges for passenger and drivers. However i believe the advantages of driverless vehicles outweigh the disadvantages because it provides a potential safety and an independent travel.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view: you believe the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and you discuss safety and greater independence alongside technical risks and job losses. These points are relevant, but they are only briefly explained; for example, the benefit for older and disabled people is stated without a concrete illustration, and the employment concern is not explored beyond suggesting training. The response therefore addresses the task only partially, with ideas that remain limited and under-developed. It is also below the required 250 words: the response contains 213 words, and the 30 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop each main point with explanation or a relevant example, and make the comparison between the benefits and drawbacks more explicit.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “On the one hand,” “Furthermore,” and “Moreover” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is limited, and some connections are unclear or mechanical. For instance, the shift from technical failures in bad weather to employment effects is abrupt, while “However, the government should provide skill training programs for them” does not fully explain how this addresses the disadvantage. Capitalisation and punctuation also make transitions harder to follow. Build a clearer sequence within each paragraph—claim, explanation, example—and use referencing and linking phrases accurately rather than relying mainly on formulaic transitions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “technological advancement,” “sensors,” “traffic rules,” and “financial problems,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “pedestrians” and “independently.” However, the range is limited and errors in spelling, word form, and collocation are noticeable: “journy,” “softwares,” “pedesterians,” and “provide roads safety” reduce precision. Repetition of “create” and “in some cases” also makes the discussion less varied. Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling and countability; for example, use “improve road safety” and “software systems.” This would make your meaning clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “people who cannot drive” and a conditional-style point about technical problems. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to process. Examples include “it can creates,” “major car accidents prevent by human errors,” and “which are follow traffic rules,” where verb forms, passive construction, and agreement are not controlled. Sentence boundaries and capitalisation are also inconsistent, as in “it can creates many challenges ,However.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check verb forms and agreement in every sentence, and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
