Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the future, all vehicles will be autonomous. Passengers will be the only one inside them. I believe unemployment rate would increase, an this disadvantages far outweigh any potential advantages.
On the positive side, driverless vehices would facilitate worker to do their jobs easily. If many driverless cars appear the worker would not work for many hours and would have to time to spend with their families. For instance, delivery employee do not have to work day and night because driverless cars can help to deliver the order. However, this can be avoided by employing different employee in a different shift during the day .
One downside of driverless cars, buses and trucks could increase the rate od unemployments. Many companies would prefer to have self-driving vehicles because it could reduce the rate of expenses such as salaries, as a result many workers would loss their jobs. If the number of driverless vehicles icreases, many workers will loss their jobs. For example, some companies in China start to have driverless buses as a public trasportation in which it leads to the lose of many jobs. I think this could create a serious problems for workers because they would be unemployed and the companies would become fully automated, eliminating the need for human worker.
To conclude, altough driverless vehicles could help workers to have more time to enjoy. I believe these drawbacks are outweigh the advantages these driverless cars, trucks and busess could significantely effect the employment rate and increase the numbers of workers who could loss their jobs

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear overall view that the employment disadvantages outweigh the benefits, and you include relevant discussion of both sides. The main disadvantage—drivers losing work as companies automate—is supported with an example of driverless buses in China. However, the positive point about workers having more time is not fully connected to the question: it is unclear whether this is a benefit to passengers, employees, or society, and the suggestion of using shift workers does not explain the wider advantages of driverless transport. The conclusion repeats your position but does not add a developed comparison of the two sides. To strengthen the response, explain specific benefits such as fewer accidents or improved access, then weigh these directly against job losses.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. This makes the overall direction easy to follow, and signposts such as “On the positive side,” “One downside,” and “To conclude” help identify each stage. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by repetition: the claim that workers will lose jobs appears several times in the disadvantage paragraph without each repetition adding a new point. Some links are also unclear, particularly “However, this can be avoided,” where the reference is not precise, and the final sentence combines several ideas awkwardly. Develop each paragraph around one clear point and use references and transitions that show exactly how each sentence relates to the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “autonomous,” “self-driving vehicles,” “salaries,” and “fully automated,” so the reader can understand the subject and your main argument. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision: examples include “vehices,” “unemployments,” “public trasportation,” and “the lose of many jobs.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “facilitate worker to do their jobs easily” and “the rate of expenses.” Aim to learn accurate word partnerships and check spelling and forms carefully. More precise terms such as “reduce labour costs,” “displace professional drivers,” and “public transport services” would help express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mixture of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “If many driverless cars appear…” and a cause-and-effect sentence beginning “Many companies would prefer…”. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “the only one inside them” does not agree with the plural subject, “many workers would loss their jobs” uses the wrong verb form, and “To conclude, although…” is left as a sentence fragment before the next idea. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms, and divide long sentences into complete clauses. More accurate control of these patterns would make your argument clearer.
