Student answer (Band 5.0)

Nowadays, It is often argued that driverless cars are dangerous. To begin with, the major reason is reassurance and relaiblity. As we are rapidly moving towards AI based world where poeple are doing less jobs notifiably. This is because AI is taking over on almost everything, including car drivers as well. For example, there are some UBER car services accross USA where driverless car have been introduces over couple of years.

However, I will definately go with disadvantages as I personally beleive that Internet technology is supercalifragelisticexpliadicious but there are some major concerns related to this, In terms of relaiblity or safety of passengers. Adding to this there are some cases in USA recently, where the news had coverages these accidents ofently in which Auto Pilot Cars are the vital reasons for the cause.

Adopting the tech is considered to be a positive and effective change, But I strongly agree that every coin have two sides, if there are some advantages then there must be some cons as well. Rationally, we as humans don't have anyhting with a 100 percent surety of safety and security. As a result of some past incidents, many people get fear of these tech friendly innovations.

In conlcusion, from my perspective all the veichles supposed to be opereated by human drivers, untill or unless there is full surety that these futuristic cars, trucks or even buses are safe for us and our childrens. Overall, In my opinion we shoud have to wait couple of more years to get a stable technology to trust on.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You give a clear overall view that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages, especially in the final paragraph, and you refer to relevant concerns about passenger safety and reliability. However, the response addresses the comparison only partially: the advantages are not explained, and the opening mentions “reassurance and reliability” without making clear whether these are benefits or concerns. The examples of accidents and driverless services in the USA are too general to show how the technology affects people, and the safety argument is repeated rather than developed with specific reasoning. To strengthen the response, explain at least one concrete advantage, then develop your safety concerns with a clear example and show why they outweigh that benefit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, body paragraphs and a conclusion, and transitions such as “However,” “Adding to this” and “In conclusion” help signal movement between points. Nevertheless, the overall progression is not consistently clear. The first paragraph introduces “reassurance and reliability” but then shifts to AI replacing jobs and driverless services, without connecting these ideas to the question of advantages. The second and third paragraphs repeat concerns about safety and uncertainty rather than advancing distinct points. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically, and the relationship between sentences is occasionally unclear. Give each body paragraph one clear purpose, order the ideas from benefit to drawback, and use references and transitions that explicitly show how each point supports your position.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “driverless,” “reliability,” “passengers,” “technology” and “safety and security,” so the reader can identify the subject and your main concern. However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to follow, such as “relaiblity,” “ofently,” “veichles” and “opereated.” Some expressions are unsuitable or imprecise: “supercalifragelisticexpliadicious” is playful rather than appropriate for an academic essay, while “news had coverages these accidents” is not a natural collocation. Aim for accurate, formal phrasing and avoid using unusual words unless you are certain of their meaning. More precise terms for benefits, risks and evidence would help you explain your argument clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms, including clauses beginning “As we are rapidly moving…” and “if there are some advantages…,” and you attempt to connect ideas with subordinate clauses. However, the range remains limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “As we are rapidly moving towards AI based world where poeple are doing less jobs” is an incomplete sentence, while “every coin have two sides” has a subject–verb agreement error. There are also recurring problems with articles, plurals and sentence boundaries, as in “driverless car have been introduces” and the comma splice in “every coin have two sides, if there are…”. Practise building complete sentences with one main clause, then check agreement, verb forms and punctuation before adding more complex structures.
