Student answer (Band 5.5)

In coming years all cars, buses and trucks will be moveing without driver. only passenger individuals will be travelling inside it. However, from my prespactive it had some advantages but also disadvantages.

In future there will be cars, buses and trucks that will be operated without any human. Advantages will only for compaines because there will be no need to give salary to drivers because the vehicles will be driverless. For example one company who give servies to people with vehicles which needs driver to drive it and other company owns vechicles which is operated without drivers. The company that has vehicles which needs drivers will be mangeing less profit as compared to the company which operated driverless vehicles because they did not need to give salaries to drivers because their company had driver less vehicles.

The disadvantages of non-driver machines is that the jobs opartunaties will be limited and the youth will become jobless. For example my uncle is a driver of truck in Saudi Arabia. He drive a truck for companey they give them monthly salary and he is supporting his family with that salary. Whenever, this company owns a truck which is driverless so their will be no need of a driver. As a result they will remove my uncle and he will become jobless.

Overall, this eassy illustrate that there are some advantages of the driverless car but also disadvantages . The driverless cars, buses and trucks are not beneficial for all people. It is a bad dream for drivers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the question by presenting a benefit for companies—lower staffing costs—and a disadvantage for drivers who may lose their jobs. The example about your uncle makes the employment concern concrete, and your conclusion indicates that you see driverless vehicles as harmful to some people. However, the task asks whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, and your position on that comparison is not stated clearly until the conclusion, where “not beneficial for all people” does not directly say which side is stronger. The advantages are also narrowly focused on company profits, with little discussion of possible benefits to passengers or society. Develop both sides and state your overall judgement explicitly, then explain why one side carries more weight.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. The examples generally appear beside the points they support, and phrases such as “For example” and “As a result” help show relationships between ideas. However, progression within the advantage paragraph is repetitive: the comparison between companies and the point about not paying drivers are restated several times rather than extended with a new consequence. Some references are also unclear, as in “they did not need” and “their company,” where the reader must infer which company is meant. Use clearer referencing and organise each body paragraph around one main claim, followed by explanation and a distinct example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “driverless vehicles,” “salary,” “monthly salary,” and “jobless,” so the main ideas can be understood. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “company,” “vehicles,” and “drivers.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “prespactive,” “servies,” “vechicles,” and “opartunaties,” which make the writing less clear and less controlled. Some expressions are unnatural, including “only passenger individuals” and “bad dream for drivers.” Build a more accurate range of topic language and check spelling carefully; vary repeated terms only when the alternative is precise and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a comparison with “because” and a result clause beginning “As a result.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For example, “will be moveing” and “He drive a truck” use incorrect verb forms, while “the vehicles will be driverless” is preceded by an incomplete opening sentence. In “Whenever, this company owns a truck,” the time clause does not express the intended meaning, and the sentence structure is faulty. These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate present and future forms, and build longer sentences from a clear subject and verb before adding clauses.
