Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify relevant benefits, including greater convenience for people who cannot drive and possible help for senior citizens, and you also mention software failures and the risk of encountering an impaired human driver. However, the response only partially answers the central question: it does not clearly state whether the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. The opening says the essay will examine both sides, while the conclusion calls the technology convenient but does not make a comparison or firm judgement. Several points are also difficult to follow or insufficiently explained, such as the claim about low fares and government subsidies. To strengthen the response, state your position clearly in the introduction and conclusion, then develop each main reason with a specific explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic essay shape, with an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits, a paragraph about risks, and a conclusion. The contrast marker “On the other hand” helps signal the shift to disadvantages. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the benefits paragraph moves from people needing help to fares, subsidies, and convenience without showing how these points connect. Linking phrases such as “this value able” and “a further benefits is that” do not establish clear relationships, and the conclusion repeats convenience and software errors rather than resolving the comparison. Some references, including “it” and “this technology,” are also hard to interpret. Group related ideas, use clear transitions, and make the conclusion follow directly from the reasons presented.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “driverless,” “technical issues,” “passengers,” “convenient,” and “subsidy,” so the reader can identify the general topic and several intended points. However, the range is limited and many word choices or forms are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning difficult to recover. Examples include “suffering in cure,” “to much low fare,” “misshapen,” and “too much word about passengers.” Repetition of “beneficial,” “technology,” and “driverless car” also limits precision. Work on accurate collocations and topic-specific terms, such as “people who are unable to drive,” “affordable fares,” “software malfunction,” and “collision.” Check spelling and word forms carefully, and choose vocabulary that expresses the intended meaning directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to combine ideas using clauses, for example, “when a human driver drive car he will handle any situation,” and you use some simple statements to communicate the main topic. However, sentence structures are limited, and attempts at longer sentences frequently contain errors that make the relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “While it can Beneficial,” “those did not knowing about driving,” and “a Software drives the car he know about basics.” There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, verb forms, and sentence boundaries; the opening paragraph, for instance, runs several ideas together without reliable punctuation. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking subject–verb agreement and verb forms in each one.
